It is not uncommon for Microsoft not to update their articles according to newest versions of their hotfixes.

KB944092 replaces KB940322... any reason not to include it in the pack? Since it is only available 5days after Ryan posted his beta updatepack here. So how could he include hotfixes that have been released afterwards ;) However thanks for your tip about this :) I know, but changelog for the next pa...

Yeah! And I agree, leave WSH5.7 - it can always be added by a separate addon

Since August 2007 it is updated quarterly, i.e. November/December 2007 should be the date (thought it was every 4 months when i wrote my 1st post)

no, the timestamp bug affects only versions newer than 5.1.2600.0 and I have just found out that it is fixed again in makecab.exe included in Windows Vista - you can get it from CabPack addon by Kelsenellenelvian

I don't think it matters:) there are other correctly working versions, such as v1.00.0601.2 (06/12/97) from Microsoft Platform SDK for Windows Server 2003 R2 or v5.00.2134.1 from Windows 2000... the one found on Windows XP RTM and SP1a cds (they're same as SP1 doesn't update this file) is just the n...

makecab.exe from vanilla XP (v5.1.2600.0) is ok and preserves timestamps... I guess that the first version that had this bug came with Windows Server 2003 and then with XP SP2 EDIT: also, even those versions never than v5.1.2600.0 do NOT modify timstamps of SOME files - pretty unpredictable behavior...

d1,Wga.dll
Your addon contains legit.dll not Wga.dll so your addon triggers a "file missing" error during install.

I did, it's still very slow with Office 2003 installed, although it might prevent automatic updates from slowing down the system completely.

KB918005 vs KB924692

I'm kinda confused - KB918005-v4 contains newer files (5.1.2600.3020, 06/10/23) than the KB924692 hotfix it was supposed to be replaced with (5.1.2600.2993, 06/09/11). Seems like KB918005's article wasn't updated to reflect the last version of the hotfix. Probably the wrong thread/forum, sorry about...

Windows XP N

Hi there, I haven't seen anything concerning compatibility of the pack with XP N since v1.3.1... Is there any reason for v2.x not to work on this version of Windows XP? Or does it still use files not present in XP N (and is that actually a problem?)? Thanks in advance...
