Re: Welcome to Windows XP Service Pack 4

GH0st, you've hard coded the paths in your batch file c:\hotfix\windowsxp-kb942288-v3-x86.exe /n /o /q /z which means that for it to work without editing, people have to extract the archive to C:\Hotfix As there is no UAC elevation issues in XP, it would be better off without the path, then it could...

GH0st, you may wish to name the next version of your archive in the form "WinXP_post_USP4_hotfixes_batch_installer_date.7z" as I can see people downloading the current version and then forgetting what it's actually for.

I know Chrome 49 still works, but I don't have a copy of it and v48 updates in the background within 10 minutes anyway.

As for the other items, I'll worry about getting things like that to work once there isn't a currently supported alternative.

How does one process the \Misc\ SP2x32 \ files when using an SP2 source from the start? (There won't BE an extracted SP2 folder in that case.) . . Also:...

Why is using a 32-bit version of FireFox a "must".
And which version do you recommend for XP64?
It's a must because the 64-bit version of FireFox doesn't work on XP x64

The current version of FireFox (v50.1.0 as of 16 Jan 17) as no other major browser still works on XP
