Well I have tried two nics. I have elimated my router and internet connection has I have two other machines on the same network with no issues.

Just this particual one. Only difference I could see was the other machines have onboard nics and the one with the issue use a external pci card.

problem with nic card after install of latest pack

Just wondering if anybody has had any issues with their nic cards after installing the update pack? I have tried two different nics. One a netgear and the other a d-link. Never had a issue till now. What going on is the nics are randomly disconnecting and re-connecting. It seems to do with more of a...

Issues with driver packs

Hello everyone...long time no see I did a fresh clean slipstream out of a virgin sp1 xp disc. Put sp2, ryans update pack, and rogue spears net 3.0 and 2.0 update into it. Maybe something else. It installed fine on virtual and teo hardware machines. But then I decided to use sneakys driver pack and a...

Its easy enough. After install and activation via phone...go onto your windows directory. Copy the wpa.dbl file onto floppy. Next time you reinstall just boot into safe mode and put the wpa.dbl file back in there. As long as there isnt sufficient hardware change since last activation you will be fine...

Who is Gentoo? Hmm mighty be worth a shot. I may get to in a bit. I did see a supported linux disk for 49.95 by some company. I was thinking of buying it...since they constantly put out updates and the like. Not like the copies from the universties that arent supported as much

You make some interesting points and I do have win 2000. But its not going to be a true server. I have never used apache, but I just wanted a file sharing server. So I can share files with friends. So I found easy file web shariing. And it allows connection on http and ssq lines. So secure and unseq...

Yes thats the pack I was using. I will just have to figure out how to integrate it. Its not the most inportant thing on my mind. The machine is only going to be a web server, but its something to keep myself occupied with. Thansk to everyone.

Okay. I was just looking for a way to intergrate it into the CD. So I dont have to load winblows and then the service pack. I guess I will have to make it a switchless installer or sumthing then. Thanks though!

I do apologize. I was trying to use common sense and was pointing it towards the i386. Now I have no idea why yeah set it up to point at the entire windows directory instead of just the i386. But oh well. Guess i should have read the directions instead of using common sense. Sorry man! I also figure...

Nah I got the problem licked. Me the dumb ass was pointing directly at the 1386 folder. What the integrstor wanted to do was me to point it right at the folder of windows. Then I guess it automatically from there hooked to the i386 folder. Now the only thing not working is uwi installer deal. Any id...

Well I guess the intergrator is fucked up. I tried on two different installs and the same exact problem. One was xp pro and one was xp home. Both with sp2. On the first box I point it to the i386 directory and it tells me its a invalid source. So I decided to leave it blank and move to the next box ...

Hmm when I used ryans intergrator it had messed up the ability to boot the cd. Unless the iso program did. Thank god I have virtual pc. Anyway I will try ryans integrator and see what happens. If I have the same prob then I guess its something else. On a happy note I just used nlite to slipstream a ...

Okay I have a xp pro disc with sp2. It has already been doctered up with uwi automatic installer. Anyway here is the problem. I used nlite to add ryans cab to it which seemed to work.
