Like GH0st, I too just did a partition format and ReInstall of Win-XP-Pro-SP3 (from my slipstream).
Then installed the SP4 before the PC's drivers... was curious.

File - 'WindowsXP-USP4-v2-x86-ENU.exe' went like a charm, even seemed faster than the other 3 SP's.
