If you're open to suggestions, you should check out the accelfix patch. It patches the win32k.sys file to fully remove any sort of mouse acceleration. Kinda like the CPL fix, but this would seem more effective.

I tend to do:

1. RVM (Core updates)
2. nLite (Drivers, removal, tweaks, etc.)
3. RVM (Additional addons)
4. XPero

Works perfectly for me.

Not sure about any format changes though.

I tend to use nLite first to add/remove stuff, then I use the integrator to add update/addon packs. I haven't tried the other way around because I don't know if nLite would have problems with an updated install.

Then why do I have 2600?

I just had this problem as well. Try going to the file properties, security, advanced, permissions, and give full control over the file to every name on the list. Then try to delete it again.
