(Request) - Sandboxie 2.22 - 32-bit & 64-bit editions

Sandboxie Main Page I personally use the 32-bit edition and find it great to use the internet (IE or Firefox) safely plus you don't have to worry about a lot of exploits. When most people were waiting for the WMF Exploit fix (Official or Unofficial) Sandboxie was already protecting users. Another n...

Microsoft sends you a email notifying you of additional invites.
I have so far got two invite emails from Microsoft, one Dec 15th and the other Dec 19th.

I too can't say I have ever tried HFSLIP. I myself use svcpack as my prefered method because I can slipstream what I want. If that means using the /integrate switch. I do like RyanVM's method|direct integration and have tried it but honestly want to learn more on what is going on, I want to learn ho...

aspenjim, Looking at gdiplus.man is shows the following on line 4. <file name="GdiPlus.dll" hash= "0809d84e62ff4ff5a07d6dc2e6a4832a13bc6931" hashalg="SHA1"/> However, if we look at the SHA1 from GdiPlus.dll in RyanVM's Update Pack we see that the SHA1 hash is 32776548BC5D36BF073E33109F38818E844B2851

Re: RyanPack vs Microsoft Update

Microsoft Update has only the Critical Updates for Windows XP SP2.
RyanVM's Pack has Critical, Non-Critical, and Beta Updates.
That is the reason there are more in RyanVM's

1. where is says "please select the directory containing the I386 directory", i think it should say something like "please select you xpcd directory" or something along the lines of that Yes, the wording is kind of fuzzy right now. Astalavista's pack has less updates then RyanVM's because it is only the Critical Windows XP updates from MSFN's Topic HOTFIXES: Win2000 SP4 – WinXP SP1 – WinXP SP2 It uses a batch file for both post-installation of windows (like what Autopatcher is for) Also it has another batch file for Slipstream...

Doing a google search of a KB article usually won't turn up much. You have to search the microsoft knownledge base. So what would you have searched for in this case to find 900732? I assume I am using the right site to search http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1 I tried searching by Article I...

Thanks Nazgul I don't see 900732 on the Microsft FTP site. You at least confirmed that my Idea of checking FTP is not the way to find all updates. Unless, Microsoft updates there FTP server latter. There goes my FTP search program I was going to make. :( I guess I could do brute force but that is a ...

Some of you are asking about the lack of Manual Integration. My question to you is what are you doing/mean Manual Integration? Protagonist, from what I understand the "remove duplicate files" option is for hardware drivers and not SFC. It would be like using __integrate_clean.exe instead of __integrate.exe. integrate_clean.exe has the same functionality, but also removes files from driver.cab which also exist in i386. Take ...

Signet, better then using EXTRACT why not use EXTRAC32? It is also on every system like EXTRACT and does not suffer form the DOS 8.3 limitations and provides a progress bar. Using EXTRAC32 you can also extract a single file unlike EXTRACT. EXTRAC32 /Y RVMUpdatePack.cab home/input.in_ /L C:\Extracted...

Siginet, I know you were having problems with the extract command and instead are using cabarc.exe. However, not everyone has cabarc.exe installed by default so extract was a better idea but with DOS 8.3 limitations. Unless you are using expand once and expanding cabarc.exe from Ryan's UpdatePack to...

I personally have never done this but do think the all of the needed information for the hotfix removal is in RVMUpPck.inf. In the [HotfixUpdates] section you will need to remove the KB******.AddReg for the removed hotfix. You would then need to go to the [KB******.AddReg] section and look for all t...

How to Extract | and see the contents of a MSI

I am sure all of you know that you can do a administrative install to extract files from a MSI. Others, of you may also know about Orca that lets you edit the MSI tables. However, I don't think Orca can extract files. However, I just found a program that lets you extract files and view msi tables . ...
