OHotFix has been the engine inside of Office Hotfixes for a number of years. Unpack an Office Hotfix, and you will see it.

Actually, I misled you ... I was looking at the AND/ OR part. XPCREATE updates a distribution CD only, and the downloading of hotfixes would depend on having a list of the hotfixes to download. I have not touched it for a while, and if I recall right, the automatic download part may have been remove...

How difficult would it be to create such an application to download all of the required hotfixes and patches directly from MS and use them to update an existing XP installation (perhaps when offline) and/or integrate them into an XP CD? :) ... Geeez, I guess the Original XP CD Creation Utility ...

Now I remember seeing that first post from Aaron at Microsoft, where he has half of the solution. I thought then that it would be only a matter of time until he figured it out, and lo and behold! Also mentioned there was a workaround to install Office 2003 from SVCPACK.INF, which I have not yet trie...
