You did not mention what app you use to create the iso or to burn it--which may be helpful. I use RVMi to create the ISO and ImgBurn to burn it to DVD. Before burning, I always test the ISO by creating a VirtualMachine with it in VirtualBox . I believe my second optical is a lite-on as well. I typi...

1 - there is no sp4 for winxp and microsoft has said there wont be one.

2 - there is no "Windows XP Professional (Home)" - they are two seperate versions.

I've been needing to build a new winxp disc for awhile, anyone know if theres an update due soon? I ask because I used onepieces last time and that one suffers from being unable to install .net updates and the onepiece pack doesnt look like it will be updated anytime soon. So i guess as a side quest...

Wondering about updates to this pack.

Also: every once in awhile it might be a good idea to make a new thread. Little easier to track down issues and find out whats most current with the project that way. Boo to 40 page threads.

Just wanted to note: The adrive host says the file is no longer shared and the second link wants me to complete a survey before download.

Are you in the process of updating the file? Should we expect a new version within the next few days?

I installed xpise on a fresh xp install and it delayed bootup by a good 15 seconds every time the system started. It would load that blue windows logo and hang for 10~ seconds then flash several times while what looked like dos boxes flashed in and out... then windows started normally. I could under...

@ryanvm, thanks. If I might be so bold as to suggest - could you make a little "ryan status" bar on the main page to let us know stuff like this? I'm sure you don't like being asked dozens of times on the forum each time your packs go dormant. If you just had a little blurb saying "I've stopped work...

Is ryan working on update packs again?

Not asking for a release date, just wondering if its in the works. I have 2 xp installs I need to worry about in the next few weeks. Failing a ryanVM one, how close is redxii's pack to ryans in style of integration? I had a friend who said his install was a little wonky using either redxii's or Onep...

Not to mention that it wouldn't work using a home key on a pro disc. I recognize the distinction between xp home and pro. I just didnt realize the nuances of oem vs full retail key authentication. I understand the licensing differences. This is the article that said in 2005 Microsoft stop allowing i...

Problem installing xp pro sp3 with a legit cd-key

Please read slow and re-read because there's alot of seemingly obvious answers to my problem that I will rule out. My client has a dell 600m laptop that he purchased new - it came with a winxp pro cd-key which is on the sticker underneath the laptop. He just got a new laptop and asked me to reinstal...

Hey guys appreciate the work and all but I've gotta ask: Will the update pack be usable with nLite anytime soon? I assume they will have to update to accommodate all this work you've been talking about in the packs structure.

I have a question about flash, the changelog is always going on about it having the latest version but after install I always end up having to use the web installer. This goes for both IE and FF, am I missing or misunderstanding something? Is Flash player part of this and most previous update packs?

Integrating newer versions?

i made a kick ass windows xp pro disc using the 2.1.1.7 pack and now that a newer version and update have been released I was wondering if (using the RVM Integrator of course) its ok to just apply over the old one. Or do I have to build a whole new disc? I can't even remember half of what I did and ...
