Ok, so I figured out why my 7z was humongous. But after I got rid of the CsetupMM folder and recreated the install file, setup halts with the error saying it could not find netfx.msi under the CsetupMM directory under the temp extraction folder. Bugger! Do I need to edit the MSI in anyway to adjust ...

Which files in the Admin install of .Net 1.1 and 2.0 necessa

Hi,

I read somewhere (can't remember where) that the only files needed to complete the silent install pack using 7-zip are the netfx.msi and netfx1.cab files.

True?

Thanks,

It should be noted that things are a bit more complex if your installer is MSI based. As it stands right now, 7-Zip SFX modules do not possess the ability to directly execute MSI files. Likewise, they also don't possess the ability to execute applications not in the directory of extraction. As a re...

Because I decided a bunch of them really weren't necessary and only added needlessly to the complexity of the pack. Heya, Nothing like cleaning up..... BTW, I'm having problems downloading the 7z file. I'm using GetRight and it keeps shouting '416:ERROR' at me. I've tried re-downloading but get the...

Hi Ryan, Thanks for the info. I thought as much. I've set the pack to download along with the new integrator. Parhaps this may not be possible, but is there somewhere where I could learn how to create the switchless installers for .Net 1.1 and 2.0 as well as SunJava. I know how the hotfix integratio...

Are all hotfixs/updates in the pack necessary?

Hi Ryan,

I just wanted to find out if all hotfixs/updates that are included in the pack necessary?

I'm running MBSA 2.0 and the list it provided on a new machine running XP Pro was significantly smaller than what's listed in your pack.

Thanks for the advice.

Cheers,
