Is there any other upload sites you can possibly choose other than FileSonic? It's okay if I'm only downloading 1 file, I can wait the 1 minute required for that. But each and every subsequent files are 15 minutes wait. And sometimes after waiting the 15 minutes, it incorrectly thinks you already ar...

Oh, I tried that for the unregister btw, without success. It wasn't until I started noticing that unregistering wasn't working that I decided to try to put in a timeout (that's the 10, standing for 10 seconds). What I believe is happening is it's deleting the file before it has a chance to finish un...

Ok, only problem that I'm having now is that my Uninstall will not unregister the SDHelper.dll file. I have NO idea why not. If I do it manually from the Run prompt, it goes away, but if I use my INF Uninstall section the registry entries in HKCR are still there. It does for sure create the registry...

Since this hasn't been fixed yet, I found the source of the problem reported by anysttupidassname. Extract your Cab for the addon. Open areader.inf. Search for "appdata". Change it to read: prog43.main =16419,"%appdata%" Search again for "appdata". Change it to read: appdata ="Adobe\Acrobat\7.0\Repl...

Actually what I think he's requesting is this, and it's actually a cool idea though I've never seen it done: Say you have a bunch of files with .JPG as the extension but you know they aren't actually JPG files (some idiot gives you lots of pics to put on a webpage and they are GIFs or something). Ye...

Woohoo!!! I knew if I went AWOL long enough someone would just get off their asses and do it for me!! :D Back in December when I had posted that, I had tons more time than I do now, but not it seems impossible for me to do something of that scale and to keep it updated regularly. I believe it really...

I'm considering working on this HUGE project, although it might be more time consuming than what I can handle at the moment. As soon as I get XP SP2 reinstalled and my unattended project is finished, I will see what I can do. I'll see how little I can be a nuisance to you Ryan, but I almost guarante...

Thought I would point out something that I discovered last night so that Ryan doesn't get emails saying it doesn't work. If you are using a previous switchless install of Acrobat Reader (or even possibly the actual install from Adobe sources), you need to uninstall before you use this. I found that ...

Have a couple application suggestions, mostly for diagnosis use. First I would like to see TCPView added. When someone has a trojan, it is very easy to overlook an application in Task Manager if it is something you expect to see. One such example is the file "realplay.exe". Although I hate Real, I'v...

Voted no... of course I'm kind of biased since I've liked Sysinternals for a long time anyhow. I have had problems using the built in shutdown command at work, though it seems to be a random problem. I use PsShutdown to shutdown/restart/logoff remote computers, although it doesn't really apply to a ...

Ok, I partially agree with your post... Here's why: Process Explorer - It is a very functional application that adds to Windows in a way that it makes things better. It helps in finding trojans (sort by company name), searches handles, dlls, gives detailed performance graphs, and has so much more th...

I think I figured out your method for adding new updates to your INFs and such, and was working on putting new updates into it for my own use, and after doing so GUI install wouldn't start (would reboot, then restart setup, reboot, restart setup, etc). Finally found out that it was because I was usi...

Honestly I don't use BootVis anymore, not because it doesn't do anything (M$ LIES), but because I now just run the defrag task that BootVis does manually. In case you don't know the command, here it is: rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks This effectively does the SAME thing as BootVis withou...
