Recently having format and reinstalled, i just got to the point to download and install mbsa. to my suprise i get this error. i've not installed mbsa since the format, i don't have windows file protection on, and i don't have automatic windows update (i have turned it on to see if that was a issue) ...

Re: MSI installer Problem

is your windows cd key/activation validated? have you ran the service pack 3 beta on your machine? if you CAN'T reinstall windows then it sounds like you might have to find another anti virus program. i've left norton av long ago because of the random bs like this. need more info to take a stab at it.

have you registered and reported the problem on driverpacks forums? i'm sure if you let them know they can get ya set up with a working up to date version or older file version.

i googled for it but only found a 4.4gb iso that you could "steal" it from but i don't think its worth it lol.

if you use underscores to seperate (like a space) and hypens in a month-day-year format it stands out. easier than reading 8 digits to represent a date imo.

Kel's Visual Styles collections all contain self installers if you uncompress them. ie, open the archive with 7zip (or whatever you use) and you'll see the exe inside. you can run that program and it will install them.
