Re: Onepiece XP Post-SP3 AIO Update Pack FINAL

Amazingly, Microsoft has actually released quite a rundown of updates for XP this month, not only intended for XP Embedded. The list can be found here: https://support.microsoft.com/help/4025687 Supposedly, the reason for this sudden mass patching of an unsupported OS is due to the WannaCry malware....

The problem with the 4gb tweak is that it doesn't always work, and some hardware drivers can be sensitive to the 'extra' memory space. It's really not a general-purpose tweak due to the potential problems associated with it. The point of the USP project is to have an up to date service pack, not nec...

Looks like this month really only brings KB2839229 for XP, which is a patched kernel. I suppose I could use the current update pack and integrate this update afterward? I don't recall this update pack including any of the IE updates, but if it does for IE6, KB2838727 is out as well with an updated s...

I looked through this for any updates that may have been included, but it seems like it's just SP3 with a limitation in place to make sure it doesn't get installed on regular xp. There may be one or two hotfixes embedded in it as well, but it's been a while since I looked through it, so I don't full...

The fact that you're spending the time to figure out the best compilation of these files and then submitting a package to those of us interested in it is enough - I don't mind having to rebuild the OS over and over again, to help squash bugs and whatnot. It's fun to me - and knowing that all this is...

I just wanted to post an update: Including the update rollup 1 with your unofficial update worked. I do love seeing 2000 boot up with full color support in explorer.

I'll check the problem when l'm at home. Could you try to add the official M$ Update Rollup 1 to HF and try again? There are no M$I files in the UURollup. EDIT: Did you use nLite after HFSLIP? I can see. NET Framework addons in the log. By the way, the UURollup has only unofficial updates included ...

I did a test with v3a and hfslip. Not sure what's causing it, but during install, an error pops up regarding COM+ registration failing. Here's my hfslip log: This file is automatically generated by HFSLIP Use of HFSLIP for anything other than personal non-commercial purposes is strictly prohibited. ...

In this case, it's probably NOT ENTIRELY microsoft's fault. Quickbooks uses mshtml.dll as its method for downloading updates. Since functionality has changed in that DLL, quickbooks does not know how to compensate, and the update feature ends up broken. Now, I have to worry that my boss's computer w...

Thanks for this update. It's priceless, saves me time when installing XP on multiple systems, and ultimately allows me to fully update and customize the install to my liking.
