Is this addon OK to use on a SP3 install?

I ask because SP3 has updated versions of some runtimes, and I don't want to use this to overwrite newer versions if I can help it. :)

Just decided to try another experiment with this:

Since I got KB924496 through MU (not integrated via the Pack), I decided to uninstall it. After the required reboot, the problem disappeared.

I reinstalled the same hotfix again. The problem comes back.

If I had to wager a guess, I'd bet on bad registry entries. Try unregistering and re-registering shdocvw.dll. Just tried the suggestion you mentioned. Unfortunately, didn't work :( It's not a major problem for me personally. Merely a minor annoyance, but still... a fix for the problem would be nice...
