well at the same time ~some~ people dont like the latest and greatest forced on them (see windows xp) :P also, maybe its just me, but the massive increase in major version numbers will muddy the waters and cause lots of confusion. at least in keeping track what is included/not included/fixed/updated...

if you dont plan on overclocking, sandy bridge tends to perform better than their older counterparts of similar speed. but from what i remember, you cant overclock the sandy bridge i3, and it does not even have "turbo boost". if you can afford it, try to get an i5 2500k :)

anyone know a firefox addon to get rid of them? i use a separate one for banner ads etc, so maybe there is one just for these too? i dont even know what they are called but the ones i am talking about are the ones with specific words underlined or highlighted and if you accidentally mouse over them ...

p4 never had dual cores, what you are seeing is something called hyper threading
