CD/DVD drive not working properly
Hey to all, 1) OK, I have a SONY DVD RW AW Q170A and a Lite-On SHM-165H6S. The first one (Sony), doesn't read blank DVD's, it just says "error, blah blah" but it should read AND write. The other one (Lite-On) is a Light scribe which which works fine. Saying both to see (hope?!) it's not a jumper sla...

Removing wireless components without destroying XP
Hi, What components can I remove that are strictly for wireless/remote? I don't have any use for wireless/remote assistance, and I would like a slimmer install. I know some are needed for regular broadband, but if anyone knows which ones can easily be killed off without running into any errors, I'd ...

It's allways reccommended to start fresh. The main issue I think you may have is the hotfixes you allready integrated may not show up on MU. So what you should do is make sure you re-integrate those hotfixes as well. So download every Post-SP3 hotfix needed and let me know how it goes. :) I have a ...

Honestly, the best way (just my opinion) is to use BtS' Driverpacks.
http://driverpacks.net
Not only does he/they have great packs for sound, CPU drivers, etc., but for RAID and mass storage as well.
Really simple, just make sure you do it last, right before making your iso/burn.

Onepiece, maybe it would be helpful in your first post (of course, if you have the time) to post the "known errors" with the pack, similar to the info. about IE7. It seems some say it works flawless with add-ons, others specify specific issues. In other words, can't keep up with the errors (if any a...

Hi there, yeah, Office XP is ancient, but it's all I got =/. Yes, I've tried and used this method http://www.petri.co.il/office_xp_sp_slipstreaming.htm , which worked fine for SP3, but for the updates, I ran Microsoft update and it showed 28 updates needed (yikes!). I followed it and there were no e...

slipstream .Net?
Hi there,
pretty sure I already know the answer, but what the heck, here goes:
Is there any way to integrate .Net 1 or 2 (I know three is a pain), e.g. same way as an update pack or Booogy's, where it's "uninstallable"?
Thanks

Anyone know how to slipstream Acrobat updates??
I have Adobe Acrobat 8.1 (not the free one) and you need to install 8.1.1 and 8.1.2, which is a pain (sorta) since you need to keep the installer cache files when installing 8.1.0, which is an unnessary [sic] waste of a gig of space. I did a search and found some administrators talking on a forum......
