As I'm sure you guys can imagine, this was a false alarm. It seems to have nothing to do with The error seems to exist on a vanilla SP3 install as well. It mentions sfc_os.dll as the ModName. And the crash goes away once auto login is turned off. If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise...

i think this probably be an issue i mentioned before. so fly, which update pack do you use? check the entries.ini in the updatepack to see whether there exists mmc.chm in [obosolete_files] section. if there is any, then it's due to a RVM integrator bug, it deletes *mmc.chm entries then. this bug is...

4. Its an unattended install via winnt32.exe (using MDT 2008)

5. This is a clean install

the only fix i found was in replacing the SETUPLDR.BIN and SETUPLDR.EX_ files in the i386 source directory with the files from the original winXP sp2 cd. now everything works "fine". That fixes it! Okay, so I ran through the Entries*.ini from this addon. It should be trivial to change that to the old Verdana fonts. Then I guess I need to use [obsolete_files] as mentioned in this thread. But will the obsolete_files be processed first? Cause if its not, I'm just going to end up deleting the font...

If you're not using RIS, what procedure are you using to move the source from the server to the workstation? Its just an unattended install. If it matters, I'm actually using an unattended install and not RIS.

As a funny aside, I'm not using RIS cause we're still on an NT4 domain. Pretty interesting for a billion dollar a year company. LOL

I personally wish they weren't in the update pack because they have issues, but its not my product. It would be trivial to expand the 7zip archive, delete the TTF files, and repack it, you know... As has already been suggested in this thread... It will suck having to remember to do this each month,...

Okay, the problem does not exist with the November updates. What do I do now?

edit: Interesting. Using the November pack, I downloaded the EU font update directly from M$ and it does the same thing. So its actually a M$ problem. Can you guys pull these fonts out from the update pack tho?

okay, so I'm an idiot. I GET IT NOW. One last problem I'm having... The $OEM$ folder structure isn't being deleted off PC's root directory. Oddly, the files aren't there, but the folder structure itself is. Anyone else had this problem? (It wasn't in the FAQ - LOL) EDIT: I fixed it. Damn XP is weird...

I fixed my WGA issue by redoing the integration, but is there a reason why KB9177734 has been left out? Was it too new for the pack?

I get it during an actual install. iirc, it was somewhere aroun T-30.

To get it working, I PXE boot into BartPE, then run:

@..\i386\winnt32 /unattended:winnt.sif /syspart:c:
