Finally got it working

Finally had time to redo my Win2K install CD. For first run of the Integrator I used the OnePiece DirectX Update pack only. Pointed to a slipstreamed SP4 i386 source. When that was finished I then reran the integrator now pointing to the updated i386 source files. And this time I used the OnePiece U...

[quote="roirraW "edor""]I don't think you can straight out slipstream Update Rollup 1 to SP4. There might be some way to disect it, and then integrate it in some manual fashion, but I know you can't slipstream it, and I doubt if you can "integrate" it using nLite. It's my impression that this 2000 S...

I found out trying to integrator both Update packs that it wouldn't see both. I have never tried to run the Integrator for 2 different sessions. Can someone briefly tell me how to do it? I have never tried multiple sessions before. Is there any special order? My thought is I would run the Integrator...

Interesting enough I then applied a fully updated AutoPatcher(Win2K) and it looks like it required almost all those Hotfixes as well. I didn't look closely but from that I would presume none of the Hotfixes were slipstreamed into the install by the RVM Integrator. I'll take a closer look later to se...

No update to IE 6

Thanks for this. I'm working on an older system. I used the RVM integrator 1.5.3 and a SP4 Slipstreamed Win2K source. I included Kels_CPL multipack addon, and the OnePiece 3.0.0 Update pack. Install went without a hitch however it looks like IE stayed at version 5. Doesn't the OnePiece pack update I...

Well looks like it might not be as big an issue as I thought. I tried it with a simple SP3 Slipstreamed source, no Hotfix integration version, and it seems to work ok doing it that way. At least using KAV to create a Rescue Disk. Still working on a UBCD4Win version however. I've never had an issue u...

Problems with BartPE and SP3 Source Files????

Thought I would add something I am seeing here as I know there are some other geeky guys who use this stuff. I was creating an updated KAV Rescue disk a few days ago. With KAV, v7 in this case, the program itself allows you to create a Rescue CD(iso) with current definitions to run on a badly infect...

Kinda my thoughts as well. After reading the article it seems to be more about the uninstalls than anything. I think if one slipstreams IE7 why would they ever wish to revert back to IE6?

I think some of those statements by MS people are not that well thought out.

Ok with the help of Mike Myer over in GRC he pointed me in the right direction. He had me look in code65536's version of Notepad2 Addon. MS has not made the IE7 hotfix installers "compatible" with SP3, all IE7 hotfix installers look for a maximum of SP2, therefore they won't be detected for nor allow install on SP3 with IE7.
