I have one more question, Ryan. Each update comes with different patches. There's sp2gdr and sp2qfe. From what I read in a KB article you linked to in another post, GDR is for files that have not been patched previously and QFE is for files that have (therefore, they include all previous hotfixes). ...

Thanks for your response. How do you go about extracting the updated files? I'm pretty sure I can compress them and capture the related registry entries. When I try extracting the executables with WinRAR, I have a bunch of _sfx_XXXX._p files, _sfx_.dll, and _sfx_manifest_. I'm guessing these are sti...

I have two directories set up for comparison to test that: C:\xpcd-nlite\ C:\xpcd-switch\ With the nlite one, I used nLite to directly integrate a bunch of hotfixes. Direct integration?

How is direct integration of hotfixes done? Let's say I have one of the new hotfixes released Tuesday, and I want to directly integrate it onto my CD. How would I do so? I realize nLite can do this, but I want to know how it does so. Thanks in advance.
