It depends. Does the program need .NET to install, or to run? I haven't run across any programs that need .NET to install, but I've seen plenty that need it to run. I bring this point up because if .NET isn't needed for the installer, does it really matter which method is used? The apps that I use t...

i have nod32 2.7 installed, and it didnt flag the integrator at all. One odd thing, tho, is that it did prompt me about submitting it for analysis, but that's all. and the prompt wasn't one of the alerts, just a non-descript window. first eset makes nod flag peerguardian2 as malware, now the rvm int...

@jeckhack you're lookin on the 'directx files' tab, the version is listed on the bottom of the 'system' tab. My version, for example, is 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904). and even though it will probably say 9.0c, directx is updated every 2 months (usually) for the developers. It's not requried to install thes...

@LAN-MAN i'm just an observer, but i believe ryan said that the mass-requests were from the same IP block and ISP, so i think it's safe to say that someone was deliberately trying to DoS ryan's host server...for what reason? beats me...all i can say is, i hope it stems the abuse, if only temporarily...

@boooggy i have KB931768 and KB932168 showing up on a fresh install...i think kb932168 might be showing up as a result of removing ms agent, so i wont waste anyone's time asking about that one...but what about kb931768? was it left out of the update pack intentionally? also, i didn't integrate ie7 o...

MrNxDmx already made one. It's quite good, so it seems (at leas to me) that ryan needn't bother making an addon for ie7, let alone putting it in the update pack.Jay wrote:A separate add-on would be great but to have it as part of the update pack I feel would be a huge mistake as IE7 is so unpopular.

not a problem, just an annoyance, but KB920342 still shows up on MU. i've seen it there when i integrate it with nlite, or the /integrate method, as well...anyone else notice this? Not seeing this problem, Are you modify files after intergration? not as far as i'm aware...i do integration of update...

That's interesting, because I put it in hotfix integration, and it installs in place of ie6 on my system, and I am using it to write this message. Perhaps the download was corrupt, or the CD didn't burn properly, or nlite didn't integrate it properly, for whatever reason.. Just lettin ya know i did...

it's not really an issue, i was just wondering if anyone has seen the same thing i've seen, as it seems more than i little odd...what i'm getting at is that this probly doesnt have much to do with nlite, just the integration of ie7 on top of ie6 before setup starts... i didnt use an addon of ie7, i ...

64-bit support?
i know that the rvm pack doesnt work for 64 bit XP (the x64 version), but do the .net framework 1.1 switchless installer or the sun java VM 5.0 update 5? i would guess that the sun java is a no go, and i would need to build my own withe the 64 bit version from the sun site, then use the instructions...
