Weird thing: the dll in the patch has a higher version number, but an older date...

My "OnePiece UpdatePack v2.5.0" based XP install keeps complaining that it found a Security Update for Windows XP (KB956744) while it is already installed...

How can I solve this? (without hiding that update in Windows/Microsoft update)

My PC had a major crash and my backup turned out to be corrupt as wel... :evil:

Time for a new install: with 2.5.0. Seems fine: only update was .Net.

One little problem: Windows Search does not end when shutting down the PC (I plan to remove it anyway).

Can you guys add the Quick Launch Toolbar to the taskbar?

I'm unable to do so under VirtualBox and Virtual PC (and have several IE8 problems as well) with 2.3.1.

Seems like it is the (HIPS part?) of my firewall. In safe mode, or with this firewall disabled, IE8 does start.

So it's not OnePiece update pack related (I run 1.8.1). My apologies for the "false positive"! :oops:

Did they release 3 out-of-band patches yesterday/today? No, not "out-of-band". Microsoft schedules updates twice every month: PT and exactly two weeks after PT (no security updates on the 2nd date, though, unless it's an emergency). It's been like this for many years. Then I'm learning very slowly....

Na installatie v/h nieuwste .NET pakket van hier (installer 3.0; .NET 1.1 t/m 3.5) vindt MU dat KB8290190 ("Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Language Pack: x86") nog moet worden geïnstalleerd, terwijl "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 Nederlands taalpakket" al is geïnstalleerd... :?

I believe none.

You definitely need the OEMBIOS.* files from i386 and two DLL's.

Have a look at the nLite forum at msfn.org to find the details.

Is WgaLogon.dll really only WGAN related?

As a test I removed WGAN after installing 1.8.0 (via the remove components option) and it was indeed available again in MU/WU.

However, Windows was still loading WgaLogon.dll... (is it included in WGAV as well?). It did not load WgaTray.exe though.

That also seems to be in conflict with the idea/goal behind the AIO pack, but in the opposite way.

(WGAN is included because WU lists it, WME9 is not included because WU does not list it).

Why can't you use a separate add-on for WME9?
