Bart-PE Help Pleeez

Hi there guyz, long time no see, been busy with exams, hope one and all of you are well. I'm currently researching Bart-PE because at work they want me to create a fully customized version based on the needs of the company and the software most frequently used. Re: SP3 question

So will SP3 also take care of SP2 and all the post SP2 update automatically? Also, would I need to use a newer version of nLite to slipstream SP3 or is 1.4 ok? Well, yes. SP3 does contain all updates/fixes included in SP2. It may even have fixes that replace ones that have now become obsolete. Your...

Prayers Required

Hey Guys This is somewhat of a summary of how upside down my life has been turned in the past 3 weeks. Well my mum had some sort of a psychotic breakdown, and the shrink has put her on meds to prevent the development of schezophrenia. I got back to campus after the mid-year exams and mid-year break ...

I'm not sure if this should be posted on this thread but here goes. (1.) More or less when is the Post-SP3 pack to be released? (2.) In the next version of the RVM Integrator is it possible to inlude the functionality, that when it reads the source directory and detects SP3 slipstreamed, that it wil...

Consider to put an "How to do it " post (after you finish working on method) for helping all peoples that want to use Sysprep. With regard to this I have already compiled a doc on how to sort out the driver issues with Sysprep and the SysprepDriverScan. However this current version of the doc is ai...

Getting the max out of a Hard Drive

Hey guyz.
Hope you all well

I have a 500gig External HD, but on windows it shows that it is limited to 465gigs

What is the reason for this, and what would I need to do to get the max space usage out of this drive?

Running a Windows XP RVM SP2

Thanx

Is there any way to strip an XP cd of its service pack

Hey all. I just wanted to know if it's at all possible to strip a windows xp cd of its service pack. The reason I ask this, is that sooner or later most of us will will have a bash at slipstreaming our windows cd's with the SP3 RTM when it finally does arrive, and most of us are using SP2 cd's. Mayb...

Thanx all for your responses. I have tried the solution suggested by vmanda above "SysPrep Driver Scanner" and it works beautifully. Vmanda although what you have suggested seems feasible in theory, I have tried moving one disk between the different models and installing the drivers for each model on that single disk. For some reason this does not solve the problem. In fact it seems to cause more issues, I can only assume that th...

Yes it is an unattended process, but I think you're missing something. This is not a windows installation I'm working on. I am preparing a machine that is fully set up and configured with all its software already, to be cloned to a machine that has different driver requirementsbut which requires the...

Thanx for the quick response. Although what you are suggesting does work with installing from the windows cd, it doesn't however, work when sysprep reads the i386 source copied to the local disk for some reason. It doesn't read the driver.cab archive that nlite and the other dirver packs alter.

Very high iso compression ratios

Hey guys I'm new to this forum but have been doing xp modding for quite some time. Something that has recently astounded me is the iso compression achieved on Wesmosis xp pre sp3(just google if you don't know what I'm talking about-you'll find links to his iso as well). This guy Wesmosis has created...
