Try an update pack after you slipstream SP3.

There are at least 3 different update packs, so your mileage may vary. Ryan and redxii's are both relatively stable.

Jamshed, I could not tell you about the addon specifically, however the method is compatible with sp3. The "method" just allows the textmode setup to not load certain drivers when first starting up.

It could be that you might have some other issues as well. Are you running nlite on a 32bit platform, or is the OS you are currently using also 64bit?
