Your best bet is probably to look at the change logs of various update packs. Although hardly clear and a lot of work, atleast you'll find which updates replaced which other ones there.

Thanks for the confirmation, Rick, just did some testing and corrected the code in my previous post. (RegisterDLLs section fails with just 'rundll32', it needs to be 'rundll32.exe' as in your guide)

I dunno about the dll file having to be in the default place - it seems a bit far-fetched to me that the absolute path to it would be hard-coded into the program - but otherwise you are correct.
