@ darkrats: The SP4 installer will not update files that are newer than those it installs. This means that POSReady 2009 updated files should not be affected. There might be a few updates that will require reinstallation, but Windows Update will inform you about those.

All the latest patches are available in the "November 2014" subfolder

For your convenience I have added the .NET patches (from September) to the November folder.

The WindowsXP-KB3003057-IE6core.exe can be used regardless of your IE version. It updates core system files related to IE6 shell.

It will not let you proceed without entering a CD key if you have slipstreamed SP4 to an OEM ISO. This happens by design for all Service Packs.

News from the SP4 testing: working on an event log error related with the MSI .NET FW 3.5 T13 setup. This error is about .NET Framework 2.0 Runtime optimization service and it happens only during T13 (it's not important).

@GH0ST, bphlpt This issue is specific with VS2010 SP1 installation. The issue can be fixed using the .NET Framework Repair tool. Howewer, I will try integrate the fix in the SP4 Final to ensure maximum reliability.

To give you an idea of the complexity of the servicing issue I'll tell you that's only caused after installing VS2010 SP1 - which installs a .NET FW GDR update. This breaks component registration.

I will try to make necessary changes so that this update will not do this.

UPDATE: It's not related with xpfixit.inf. Trying to narrow it down.

There are some security enhancements in hivecls.inf as well. These may be responsible for this issue.

The issue also happens with SP4 live installer, but only after reboot. It must be an updated file related to the issue (registry is updated before post-install processes are run). The txtsetup.sif is normal. Assuming the upd0018.dll is the IE6 version (could you check this as well with 7zip or similar tool?) this problem must be caused by the urlmon.dll file skip.

@biro The problem is url.dll I have designed the SP4 installation to use IE6 base files and replace them when install completes with their IE8 versions. Check for the url.dll and upd0018.dll entries in txtsetup.sif and tell me what's there.

This is indeed an issue, I have reproduced it. I have created a fix, but since the urlmon.dl_ can be downloaded already seperately it may not be necessary to upload a new EXE.

UPDATE: I will upload the new EXE files to GDrive only.

Delta patches will be also provided.
