someone pmed me for re-upload my .NET 4 tutorial, claiming he intend to do an automated script for that. Don't know when he will finish and whether he'll support x64.

I'll release a pre-release for test soon.

when did it update to v2?? Is it identical to v1?

-edit-
Just downloaded it.
It's newer than v1. The download is available on 6/6(as shown in the download info page) but the msp inside is last modified on 4/7.

-edit2-
The link in KB2468871's KB article is not updated and does not work for now.

All ResetWMI does is clean all files in Windows\System32\wbem\Repository\FS. You can manually do this via a cmd command if you don't mind watching a black cmd window flashes. BTW, I looked at the redist package, there is a x64 release, it should be compatible with Windows 7 x64 if we ignore the file...

The Version registry value does not change for XPx64, but MRT.exe must now exist (and have the correct file version) in %SystemRoot%\system32 to prevent being offered the update. Looks like I'll be adding the stub user_hidden has included in his pack. Sounds like MU ONLY checks the version number o...

I believe there are several ways where win7 really sucks. But there is the fact that win7's memory management is superior to xp's, in the case you have large memory. Win7 also takes full use of your multi-processor and your CPU cache.

I investigated into madedit's sources yesterday, finding it uses firefox's charset detecting algorithm plus some self-made check. And by simply looking into madedit's import table, there is no IsTextUnicode present.

The answer is I used win7 notepad. Just reproduced it in WinXP notepad.

So I suppose win7 notepad do some more actions in addition to calling IsTextUnicode because notepad2 fails(which is an example that directly calls IsTextUnicode)
