I'm just wondering, but isn't the combination of .NET Framework Client Profile and the .NET Framework 4.0 Extended the same as installing the full .NET Framework 4.0 resdistributable?

Thank you all for you tips and suggestions. I wanted to keep my learning curve to a minimum due to lack of time and will look into DXIntegrator once some of the experts come up with an UpdatePack with W7 fixes or Addons such as IE9, etc. :D Right now, MU shows me about 18 W7 fixes that need applying...

Okay, thanks for the tips. Instead of copying the .msc files while XP is active, I will copy them when Win7 is active and use icacls as you said. I hadn't thought of using export/import with powercfg. I will try that.

Thanks,... I'm slowly looking into adding Win7 and trying to familiarize myself with the differences of doing an unattended install with customization as compared with XP. Seems more complicated than before. Looks like there will be a lot of trial and error for me :cry:

File Directory Structure for DISM above shows

%WINDIR%\system32\Dism\Drivers\wimmount.sys,

but the reg entry for ImagePath is

%WINDIR%\system32\Drivers\wimmount.sys

I assume \DISM\Drivers\wimmount.sys is incorrect then, yes?

This is just a nit, but was there a reason for using this:
HKLM,"%SP4UPDATES%\KB2485376","InstalledBy",0x0,"Administrator"
instead of this:
HKLM,"%SP4UPDATES%\KB2485376","InstalledBy",0x0,"%NAME%"

in the qfeUpPck.inf file?

I'm planning on doing a new XP build tomorrow with an integrated Office 2003 (SP3 + latest hotpack ) created with Office Integrator. I will report back.

Update:

MU is no longer reporting KB973904 as not installed and QFECHECK says it is current after this last Office integration.

I just installed Office 2003+SP3 on an integrated 1.4.4 system and all of a sudden MU is reporting that KB973904 needs to be installed. This update was added way back when with 1.1.5a. I'm not sure why MU is detecting this as an update. Anything I can check?
