ok, I see. My cat IS from M$, only that it may not comes from enu branch. But in fact all updates in different languages share same file here, it's because the cat files signs update.inf so they differ. BTW, does autopatcher stop asking you for it after you have replaced the cat file? I 'm not sure...

updated. @adric it's not kb968816.cat that causes this issue. I think it's because of AutoPatcher's update checking method. Try Windows Update for a precise check. @yumeyao From what I have been able to determine, one of the checks Autopatcher uses, is to see if the .cat files for that fix both hav...

KB968816
When installing XP with integrated SP3 QFE Update Pack (user_hidden) and checking the system with Autopatcher, Iit indicates that KB968816 is installed . When I install the updatepack including your wmp11 addon , Autopatcher indicates KB968816 is not installed. Any idea why this is so? edit:: I also...

msxml3.dll
@user_hidden I downloaded the WindowsXP-KB955069-x86-ENU.exe from Msoft and compared the CAT and DLL file with what you have in your updatepack. The cat files are the same but the msxml3.dll is different from the one i got from Msoft. They both show the same version number, but the files sizes and d...

Windows file Protection Error
Ok, I did a clean SP3 install using only the QFE_UpdatePack. I am not seeing a WFP pop-up during the installation as previously, but the setuperr.log still shows the following entry: Error: Setup detected that the system file named [c:\windows\system32\msxml3.dll] is not signed properly by Microsoft...

Duplicate TXTSETUP.sif entries
I too am having problems with this addon. I noticed that this addon causes duplicate entries in the txtsetup.sif. Some examples are ie4uinit.mui, ieframe.mui, sqmapi.dll, etc. This is normally not a problem if installing from a CD, but it becomes a problem when installing from a hard drive. During t...

It depends on the updates you wish to remove, adric. The update pack is not intended to be easily modified, but taken as a whole. Okay, fair enough. I guess I'll give xable 's pack a try and see if that will suffice for me. I just did not want some of the optional updates offered by WU that are inc...

Okay, one last try at understanding how your addon is supposed to work. When/How is the newly created DP_MyDri.7z file processed so that the drivers later get installed?. Do I need another addon to get the files in DP_MyDri.7z integrated?? Sorry for being such a pain . I will leave you alone now. Al

Where can I find more info on how the OEM directory gets processed?. Also what is the differnce between a $oem$ and a plain oem directory? You lost me on your answer :? Thanks ENU_user. I ran those two addons through RVMI and the output looks promising. Now all I have to do is burn an image and try it out. Also, I tried your addon with the Beta and I can't figure out where the additional drivers created in DP_MyDrivers_wnt5_x86-32.7z ended up on the final integrati...

Hmmm, Seems like what I am looking for is a way to get additional drivers on a windows XP install CD so there will be support for the newer ACHI controllers during installation. Nlite looks like it would be the easiest, but I don't have .NET installed and don't want to add it to my laptop. DriverPac...

OK, I see what the problem is. There are two possible registry entries that can be changed depending on your setup - ClassicStartMenu or NewStartPanel. Ticking the Show IE box in the folder options only changes NewStartPanel from 1 to 0. I am using Windows classic and that value needs to be changed ...

Integrator doe not notice when it runs out of room
HI, I recently ran the integrator with the latest update pack and everything completed without errors. When I ran the install from CD, it complained about various drivers missing. I checked the driver.cab that was created and it was only 4.5MB although it should have been around 76MB. The smaller dr...
