That's about all that is the same - the KB numbering system :). Servicing is quite different compared to XP.
If you want something similar to an update pack you will need to use different tools found elsewhere.

Microsoft has stopped providing Windows 7 ISO images directly to the public. However you can download it directly from Microsoft here if you have a genuine Windows 7 product key.

OEM Keys are not valid so you have to use the recovery method provided by your particular oem manufacturer.

I use the addons as is. I'm not aware of any IE tweaks that I have which change these flags. Is there something I can check in the installation target dir after integration to see if those flags are correct. If they are, then something is happening during or after installation is completed.
