Those of you who are getting excited about IE7 might want to let the rest of the world continue their beta testing. There are lots of web services that are broken under IE7. Or shoudl we say that IE7 is still broken enough that long-established web services that work fine under FF, Opera, IE6, etc, ...

Looks as though everything is (finally) available through WU.

It doesn't look as if MSIE 7 is part of todays payload.

MS has ack'd a problem with a single, critial fix and has not released it. There are also bandwidth problems with the primary and geographic-seconday d/l sites.

Besides the excreable MSFT freebee, what light-weight iso mounters are people using and is there one available as a RVM-style install pack?

For me, an iso mounter that is read-only would suffice.

Please don't put IE7 in the main pack, there are anough problems with it (even with other MS software, Great Plains Dynamics refuses to work with IE7 at all) that lots of enterprise customers are investigating ways of blocking the install once IE7 goes-gold from MS. MS has even offered a config file...

To me, .reg and .inf files are equal, I really have no preference as to how they are stored, maintained, or imported into a new system.

I keep track of my tweaks via Registry Tweaker (www.registrytweaker.net) as well as the 'master' tweaks file that sometimes pops up on msfn. Before nlite, I used to just double click my personal .reg file and that would be it. Recently nlites tweaker has become completely unreliable/inconsistant so ...

Ok, I obviously did something here........

My Task Manager window is missing all of the standard window control items.

Close button, title bar, menus, etc, etc, etc. All Gone.

Task Manager itself works fine within the limits of the stripped-down window.

Any (relevant) ideas anyone???
