Can someone give me a link to where I can download kb883523 hotfix?
I know that it is in the update pack but I don't know how to get it out to a exe file so that I can use it in svcpack.

Is their a way to convert your KB883523.CA_ to KB883523.exe that can be used in svcpack.inf method?

...a cat file is a security catalog file, not an executable file.

You could just do what RyanVM and others have done to get the hotfix in the first place: ask Microsoft for it.

Anyways speaking of hotfixes.

Hey RyanVM no need to include KB890546 as its only for Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2002 - 2005.

As you have said more that once MCE is not supported by your pack.

Just a thought.

And just for kicks I checked to see if the two files that are fixed by this hotfix are even in winxp pro. 2p2 anyways and of course there are not.
