Nope. Don't forget that I don't have unlimited bandwidth. I have a lot, but I've still used 180GB of bandwidth since releasing 2.0.2a just last week. Doing constant releases every week would put a lot more strain on my account than I'd like.

But if you want to know what's in it, it's d3dx9_24-28.dll and xinput9_1_0.dll along with their CAT/INF files.

Well I'm going to remove the d3d file from my update pack in it's next release then so it doesn't conflict. The only reason I had it in there was for MPC. Supposedly it's needed to play MP4 video files.

It won't conflict, it'll just waste bandwidth :)

What version of DirectX 9.0c is that? I thought the only new version of it was the December 2005 release?

Is it possible to integrate the Decmeber 2005 DirectX 9.0c update by adding and/or replaicng any DX files in the update pack?

It's the August release . Of course it's the newest (December) release.

There are no DX files in the current pack, but there's no reason you couldn't add them through an addon just like any other files. Or you can wait a few weeks (if you can manage to live that long )

Which files are those? Aren't the updated DirectX 9.0C files released in December 2005 included in the download of the DirectX 9.0C redist from Microsoft's website?

Ah Thanks RyanVM for giving us the updated pack 2.0.2a :)

Was planning to reinstall my PC anyway so would come in very handy indeed :)

Can someone post the English KB909095 patch to RapidShare or something? Unfortunately, I reinstalled Windows about 3 days before 2.0.2 came out, so I don't have it, and the Hibernate problem is driving me nuts.

There's a thread for those kind of requests, and this isn't it.

The hotfix hunt thread? I didn't have time to read more than the first and last pages earlier was a bit confused as to its purpose. After reading more, I gather that is indeed the place for requests.

Maybe that could be made clear in the first post?

Or am I completely missing something?

I just noticed Microsoft updated their WGA activex plugin:

New file information:

Code: Select all

;# Date Version Size Filename
;# ------------------------------------------------------
;# 16-Jan-2005 1.5.0.42 23,304 gwfspidgen.dll
;# 12-Jan-2005 1.4.410.0 543,496 legitcheckcontrol.dll

BTW, for you curious souls out there, here's the link to the page with the final MMC 3.0 release on it:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... layLang=en

Scroll down and you'll see it. Also, you can compare MD5 sums on the installer to see that it is indeed different from the RC1 release (even though many of the internal file versions are the same)

Microsoft's Patch Tuesday is the second Tuesday of each month. You can expect Ryan to release an Update Pack when he has the free time to do so. :)

My fault for doubting you. I wasn't sure if you'd include yesterday's update since no game requires it that I know of.

I'll stop asking stupid questions now. :) I only ask because I honestly don't know. I hope you don't fault me for that.

Forgive me if this has already been asked, but is there anything those of us who already setup machines with 2.02 need to fix?

You may want to replace the corrupt files with the ones from the 202to202a package.

Some people apparently missed the lesson that sometimes the best place to look is the most obvious one ;)

That being said, 2.0.2 was only up for like 12 hours before 2.0.2a went up. Hollywood, are you really certain that you had 2.0.2 integrated into the CD those computers were setup from?

Post RVMUpdatePack2.0.2a Updates?

Post by laur3ooo » Mon Feb 13, 2006 6:57 am

Can't seem to refind the updates released after (think they were in a pack). I said refind because I did find the pack, didn't bookmark it and had a windows crash (some problems with my graphics card). Can't seem to retrace the septs to it though. Any help well appreciated...

Do you have a problem with your English??
RyanVM said he wouldn't have the chance to update the pack until this WE at the earliest.
At the earliest as in there's no chance that he can do it any earlier than that.
But it also means that it doesn't necessarily happen this WE.
Is there any chance you guys can stop being a big pain in the ass :??
Just use 2.0.2a and use MS Windows Update.
I bet it won't take longer than a couple of minutes downloading their updates.
