Adding stuff to SVCPACK after intetgrating RyanVM's fulpack.

Post by Sanjay » Fri Dec 17, 2004 9:34 am

I have so far been integrating the hotfixes manually and I have also been installing '.net framework, media player 10, and media connect' via SVCPACK. My question is if were to start using RyanVM's full pack integrated via nLite then how do I install '.net framework, media player 10 & media connect" to my unattended CD via SVCPACK?

You would install them exactly the same way as before.

key is to expand svcpack.in_ in i386 file into svcpack.inf and edit it according to your needs (btw how do you install WMP 10 and .net 1.1 sp1 in svcpack?, i've tried alot but failed)

you can use makecab command to compress the file or leave as it is.

have fun

@Sanjay

You dont need to use SVCpack, use nLite to install SP2 and RyanVM V104 pack to your XP iso. Ryan has done a full switchless version of "dotnet" with an already slipstreamed SP1 that could be installed from your $OEM$\$1\Install\Apps dir. Without the need for all the extra work involved installing it via SVCpack. URL=http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/ Look for the link to the file here.
You can also stick the other 2 mentioned apps in that same dir and call them all thru your RunOnce or batch_file.

WMPlayer 10 link = http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applicati ... ayer10.htm

Dont know about MediaConnect, dont use it. Sorry. Just search here though = http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=80

P.M. me if you need any further info.
