Integrating newer versions?

Post by jdub » Tue Oct 10, 2006 12:28 am

i made a kick ass windows xp pro disc using the 2.1.1.7 pack and now that a newer version and update have been released I was wondering if (using the RVM Integrator of course) its ok to just apply over the old one.

Or do I have to build a whole new disc? I can't even remember half of what I did and I lost the txt file where I kept track of it.

Ahhg! I have driver packs tweaked just the way i wanted them, replaced the icons with those 3rd party ones, added some essential utils to auto install... the works. Made it perfect and everything. Never got to burn it for a go.

Oh well. Maybe next time I'll outline my steps on this forum and get some feedback on whats the best order for using integration apps.

You know, Update Packs can be integrated on top of other Update Packs. I'd try that first before redoing everything from scratch.

Just wanted to be sure, I thought I remembered some update awhile back that you couldn't for whatever reason. One more question, will integrating a new update pack remove any RVM addons that were previously integrated?

It shouldn't have any affect on any other addons.

And yes, 2.1.0 couldn't be integrated over previous versions, but I'm always quick to point that out when that's the case :)
