winver differs on second reboot afterwards on ryanpack 2.1.3

Post by bhurtel » Fri Oct 20, 2006 11:51 pm

i have integrated ryanpack 2.1.3 with boogy wmp 11
when my computer boots up it shows up latest version
Eg : version 5.1 (build 2600.xpsp.060411-1541 : Servce Pack 2)

but when reboots afterwards the version is changed automatically...
Eg : version 5.1 (build 2600.xpsp.050504-1703 : Servce Pack 2)

why it automatically became older version on afterwards reboots...

which files get changed.. which file is responsible for this,,
i am running patched sfc_os.dll so can't perform sfc/ SCANNOW

i came to know that the winver.exe calls version information from registry.

but how it changed back to older one after 1st restart

configuration:
vmware
ryan 2.1.3 + boogy wmp11 + fedora cursors + patched sfc_os.dll, tcpip.sys, uxtheme.dll, patched legitcheckcontrol.dll,

I've never seen this problem.

The RVM Update Pack only includes the latest kernel. The included kernel files have not been updated since 2.0.7. The next Update Pack should include KB924441, which may solve this issue for you.

WINVER should then read:
Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp.061012-0254: Service Pack 2)
