Why I cannot download some hotfixes?

Post by jander » Fri Dec 24, 2004 12:30 pm

I have downloaded the hotfixes of RyanVM's page http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/updatepack.html but some hotfixes I cannot download them, exactly KB883523, KB885932, KB887078, KB888240 or version doesn't exist in another language different from English.

The links to the hotfixes show the following message:
"To resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the hotfix."

I have tried to get them of Windows Catalog, but they don't exist.

How I can download those hotfixes in my language (spanish) ?
Can I integrate the RyanVM's hotfixes in my CD without problems ?

Thank you.

Some updates are only available for English OS. But that's not a problem, cause most hot fixes are language independant. Microsoft added some kind of protection maganism at their hot fixes, so you can only install hot fixes which are for your language on Windows XP. To bypass this, you can use RyanVM's update pack :P

I really would like to go back to this basic question - where can I get some more hotfixes?

I see you've got a lot of them not only in Ryan's pack but also in Dutch & German also. I don't think it's just - they are not avail. in my language... do I have to "beg" M$ support or something to get them?

Yes, you have to email MS support for them just like myself and the translators have had to.
