No, shon3i.
They are slightly different from each other.
This is RyanVM's pack content, while this is Xable's.
It's really about your preferment.

Also, you can use Xable's update pack.
And again, be aware that it is slightly different from Ryan's.
If you wish to integrate all November updates don't forget to also add all previous updates.

To find an answer, Jay, you must first have a question.

The differences between RyanVM's and Xable's Update Packs are explained in the following thread:

Dig a bit in the mud, Jay, and you'll find exactly what 5eraph posted. ;-)
You could have write what you didn't understand. I would have try to clarify it.

Shon3im are you tring to integrate wmp11slips0.96i.exe ?

If that's the case, remove it from your next integration as it's a standalone program. http://web.clicknet.ro/boooggy

Can i use xable november pack after RVMUpdatePack2.1.11.7z and RUPUpdates-2.1.11.13-Addon.7z to be closer to november? Without updating xable's october pack?

I would not recommend it. Even using nLite's "do not overwrite newer files" feature, the results may be unpredictable; especially where CAT files and conflicting registry entries are concerned. They were never meant to update each other the way you're suggesting.

Then what is proper way to integrate xable's pack. To upgrade only xable's pack on directly to SP2?

I'll let somebody with more experience with the recent addons comment. You might say the addons I'm using are out-of-date, but they work well enough for me.

I use Boooggy's slipstreamer to integrate WMP11 into a fresh XP source.

Then I use nLite. I think nLite does some sort of checking to avoid overwriting files with older versions, but don't quote me on that.

I think the only thing you have to worry about here is making sure you intergrate IE7 BEFORE WScript 5.7

Hopefully someone can confirm / deny this advice.

Don't hammer me please if my following question was already posted.
Do XP SP3 RC1 include all RyanVm Post-SP2 Update Pack 2.1.11 hotfixes and so on...?

I think it's more than likely yes. Microsoft is interested in putting out a rock solid and reliable service pack. Any hotfixes past a certain date really wouldn't have enough time to be properly vetted.

Yha normal September only the beta was then released.
If the final version cames out then they put the other updates also in it.

Will SP3 Help Ryan?

Post by mikepfly2 » Fri Dec 21, 2007 11:31 am

Took this quote from the locked update pack discussion thread:

"Since code65536 completely disappeared, I've begun the long process of updating a 4 month old update pack. It's going to take time to get it back into the shape it needs to be in after all this neglect, but at least I'm working on it.

More updates to follow..."

Ryan, will SP3 relieve your load since it incorporate SP2 and all critical updates up through it's release? Ie, do you still have to update 4 months worth of patches?

Congrats on your studies and new job...

MS released new Root certificates update on MU. ANd also, now it lists "Microsoft Silverlight 1.0 (KB946609)" in optional software list. Weird, m$ sucks again...
