Integration error

Post by suniltr77 » Wed Aug 15, 2007 9:04 pm

I am new to this Integration process. I tried to integrate my XP SP-2 CD(582 MB) with the update pack 2.1.8 by the Integrator 1.4.3 by following the tutorials in the site. I copied the XP SP-2 CD files to the hard disk. Opened the Integrator. Integrated the pack with 2 Add-ons(IE-7 and WMP-11)Successfully integrated to a folder I designated(550MB). It took 30 mins. Then I press the button make ISO. It took another 50 mins. Successfully made ISO file to a folder I designated. It was a zip file (558MB). I extracted the file to a different folder (550MB) and burned the contents to a CD using NERO-6 with option make a bootable CD.

When I inserted the CD into the running system it gives the same option of upgrade/new install. But when I rebooted the system with the CD inserted it didn't opened with XP installation page rather it asked me from which I want to boot, a normal 98 bootable CD.When I tried to format the harddisk with that CD it didn't give any response.

Tell me if I have done anything wrong.
Sorry I can't understand these versions, I am not in programming field. C:\RyanVM\RVM_Integrator_v1.0RC8.exe /u "C:\MYXP DISK" "C:\RyanVM Cabs\RVMUpdatePack1.3.1.cab" "C:\RyanVM Cabs\RVMAddonsWMP10_1.0.cab"

You must intall the ryan vm update pack through the nlite so that it will give you a chance to create a bootable ISO image...
If the bootable ISO image still looks like zip file, dont worry... Its actually an ISO file which is associated with the WinZip or WinRAR... Open that ISO file in Nero & Just Burn It....
It will work absolutely fine.....

I am not repeating that, but the two discs are not alike. Means I can n't do the same job withh the new CD. I can upgrade the system only with the new one.

The integrator does not create a zip file. I think you may have mistaken the iso as a zip file. The ISO file can be burned using nero... imgburn or just about any burning software. Just make sure you are burning it as an image file and not data and so on. It should not take 50 mins to make your iso either. Can you post your logs?

All I can think is you have a really slow computer. :( But you should have an ISO file here:
"E:\Softwares\Window repair\Window Patch-ups\ISO\XP.iso"

Anyway thank U for your patient. I do agree with you that I have an ISO file there. But after burning the ISO I am not getting a CD just same as my original CD. No. of folders are different (14 in original & 8 in integrated one). Supports, CMPNENTS Valueadd etc.. folders are not there.

that is normal.. the integrator only copies the folders that are required.. not the optional ones that are on the original disc
