I am guessing some problems with it but some people say they have a beta version where can I download it or is it private only?

It's not publicly available beta or otherwise. I don't have it. It's not done yet. When it will be done, it will be available. Sometimes it has taken Ryan up to two weeks after patch Tuesday to update his post-SP2 pack, but that doesn't mean I think we should start pestering him if his SP3 pack isn't available in another week and a half.

They're needed if you want them. See redxii's list of items included in his XP SP3 Update Pack 2.1.0.

For that matter, why don't you just use his pack in the meantime?

FYI, anything for WSH 5.6 shouldn't be needed IMHO since SP3 includes 5.7. I don't know about the Web Folders. Since that's older than SP3 it might include it.

My beta testing group has always been invite-only and it isn't going to change. I have a few things I need to add to the SP3 pack before I release it and I'm going to be away all day tomorrow (MMRBQ for those who are interested - STP baby!), so hopefully early in the week next week.

I'm in Cape Cod on vacation this week. I'm aiming to get new SP2 and SP3 packs out after patch Tuesday next week.

Yeah, we've had a pretty nice week. It rained all day yesterday, so we ended up just hanging out. However, we made it in to Boston today (and are planning on returning tomorrow) and we toured the Sam Adams brewery
