Post SP3

Post by Xaneth » Tue Jun 17, 2008 11:16 pm

I'm not finding any post SP3 hotfixes? After slipstreaming SP3 into my build I'm missing:

890830
950760
950762
951376
950759
951698
942763
923789

I don't see any of these hotfixes available? How would I go about downloading them and preparing them using Nlite?

You're more likely to find help specific to nLite in nLite's forum at MSFN. ;)

To get you started, you can find Microsoft's Knowledge Base articles concerning those updates by plugging those numbers into the following URL. From there you can find links to the files you need for nLite.

Code: Select all

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/ArticleNumber
You could also try redxii's XP SP3 Update Pack 062008-r03, which includes those updates.

In fact, I haven't had so much trouble slipstreaming in the past using RyansVM packs to be all inclusive, including .NET 1.1, 2.0 and 3. Not sure what's been going on, but it seems like a lot of the information I've seen here in the past is either harder to find, or gone altogether.

I'm familiar with finding the M$ support articles. These updates are classified as "critical", so they will be added via M$ update anyway, it would just be nice to have them built into my current build, otherwise, no biggie, just 8 updates away from being "perfect".

Got the WGA addon and IE 7 addon installed fine. But what about WMP 11?

Thanks for the post SP3 update link!

Boooggy's WMP11 Slipstreamer should work with SP3 sources. :)
