Question ...

Post by virgilash » Sun Jul 20, 2008 1:32 am

I remember I saw somewhere on this forum a console command that can check a system against windowsupdate and show up to the user which updates have to be installed on that system to bring it up-to-date.

Could anybody please help me ????

I believe you're looking for the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer.

qfecheck.exe, but it isn't perfect. It really just checks whether certain updates have been installed and registered correctly. I'd stick with Windows Update, or download and try Microsoft's Baseline Security Analyzer, http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/secu ... 84924.aspx, or Belarc Advisor, http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html, both free, both spyware free, both compare your system to the online databases of what's available.

Cheers and Regards.
