Thanks Ryan...

One issue....

KB952069 still shows on Windows Update.....

Just glancing @ the .inf....

I noticed that the %WMPSECUPDATE% you used for it is not listed
in the Strings section.......

Could this be the reason?

Great work regardless.... Just thought Id mention it....

Are you slipstreaming/integrating WMP 11 via another addon? RyanVM Post-SP3 only contains KB952069 for WMP 9.

It's in there, it was added and re-released. Although, that error was merely cosmetic and wouldn't cause it to show up on Windows Update (assuming you just have the update pack). Windows Update scans the file versions on disk, not what the registry says.

I just did my homework...again and all good this time 8)
I've used this time
OnePiece_Windows_Media_Player_11_True_AddOn_v1.4.0_ENU by nonno fabio
NR_IE7en_Addon_2.0.4a by MrNxDmX

...in that particular order, slipstreamed along with
Update Pack 1.0.2 and other addons ( just make sure those 2 are at the bottom in nlite as last addon added) and it always work for me ;)
There was no updates on MU list...finally !!!
:D

Thanks guys

Does this mean users of boooggy's MP11 integrator need to run KB952069 for MP11 after they integrated everything (except any driver packs which is always last...) ?

In boooggy's post he says he only supports whats on his hotfix list... and said that ones not supported. Others trying to slip KB952069 using MP11 integrator had issues.

Seriously people, if you integrate a newer version of IE or WMP, you will have to re-integrate any hotfixes released for those specific versions. I cannot include updated files for every version of IE and WMP under the sun.

ThankU ryan. Merry X'mas to u & all othr board members.
I have a question though.
RyanVM wrote:nLite 1.4.9.1 or RyanVM Integrator 1.5.3 is required to properly integrate this release.
Is there a specific (functional) problem/issue with Sigis RVMIntegrator-1.5.4beta8, to be used with this Addon-1.0.2?

I know RVMi-1.5.4 is in beta-stage & as such is not recommended (being beta), unless matured enough. I am also aware of some usage issues reported by u, like it is not preventing install of an SP2-pack over SP3 source. So my question is NOT from a general recommendation perspective, but from specific functional issues u have come across.

Other than the service pack level check, I don't know of any functional problems preventing the use of RVMi 1.5.4_b08.4 with Ryan's update packs. I believe Ryan states the minimum known working software versions necessary to use with the packs.

On the other hand, veteran forum members know Ryan has an aversion to recommending beta software for general use, when beta software is classically reserved for testing only. If you encounter problems integrating with a beta, post your findings in the beta RVMi thread, not here.

Ive got an issue but not sure wehter its these updates or not.

I keep getting a message when entering windows since integrating either RVM 101 or 102(100 was fine) which states operating system files have changed & need to be updated from the CD etc. If I rerun SP3 the problem seems to go away.

Im getting this on XP Pro SP3 VLK download fresh from Microsoft MVLS, XP home retail SP3 integrated. The only things that im integrating that could have any effect is RVM update packs, onepiece IE7 2.5.x or Booogy WP11.

Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this message? I will post the message &morte details when I can get a screenshot.

One possible workaround is to disable SFC.

I used
RVMUpdatePackSP3_1.0.2
with the following addons:
5er_MSSignedThemes_Addon_v6.0_x86
DirectX_9.0c_End-User_Runtime_AddOn_0.6.0_-_redxii
NR_IE7en_Addon_2.0.4a
OnePiece_Windows_Media_Player_11_True_AddOn_v1.4.0_ENU
and integrated with
RVM_Integrator_1.5.3

It all tested and works fine.

Thanks to all the authors for your time and for working so hard to create the above packs, integrator and addons - they are very much appreciated.

And a Happy Christmas to everyone on the forum.

@chiners_68 - Doubtful it's my pack because everything in it has the proper digital signatures on it.

I've got a strange problem and need some help. When installing my slipstreamed XP Pro cd, I get an error at the 13 minutes left screen where a pop-up box says "Advanced INF Install - Error creating process <rootsupd.exe /Q> Reason: The system cannot find the file specified."

***UPDATE: After testing multiple slipstreamed installs, I found the problem. The base files (XP & SP3) were corrupt. Couldn't figure out why until I remembered doing a full cleaning of my system (adware, spyware, viruses, rootkits, registry cleaning, etc.) which probably corrupted the files (rootsupd.exe specifically). Since I use 7-10 different software programs for this, I don't know which one could've damaged the files or deleted rootsupd.exe..

After building a new slipstream install from the very beginning, everything installed perfectly. There's nothing wrong with the update or the add-ons!

Make Iso

Post by Supreme_Opener » Sun Jan 04, 2009 3:05 am

Hi I am currently running Windows Vista SP1. I have been able to successfully integrate the update pack but was unable to use the Make Iso feature. I don't think this is an update pack issue. I've been using the integrator for at least a year and have never had any issues with it on XP. Is it an OS issue?

Yes.
In a Vista environment, you need to run RVMI as an Administrator or 'Make ISO' will fail.

The IE7 addons from MrNxDmX and OnePiece both work great with Ryan's pack.

Where you finding OnePiece_Windows_Media_Player_11

Post by mikepfly2 » Sun Jan 18, 2009 9:56 am

I looked on both of Ryan's AddOn pages, the Nlite AddOns and google searched but can't locate this addon that is specifically mentioned in this thread:
OnePiece_Windows_Media_Player_11_True_AddOn_v1.4.0_ENU by nonno fabio

Can anyone assist?

Thanks much
