That's because of different compresion ratio used. In nLite if you have set
High Compresion > Enabled - cabinet files ( *.cab or *.xx_ ) will be compressed with
another compresion ratio than original compresion made by Microsoft when release kit.

Yes is normal.
And I think that in RMVI apply the same reason.

And Update packs just add new files inplace of older files, not necesary need to have a big increase in size, just small variations.

i doubt it. it won't have such a big effect.
for me, an original SP3 disc have driver.cab+sp3.cab=79.2MB, and the combined one is about 74.5MB.
ASMS compressing will result in approx. 4M's decreasing.

so alirafaat, would you tell us more info?
for example, what's your original disc(an SP0, SP1, SP2 or SP3?)? what did u use to integrate(RVMi or nLite)? and what did you integrate together with and if you used nlite what other options have you selected?

It's because the integrator doesn't copy over the outside folder beside the 1386...

They're redundant nowadays.

One possible reason is that after using RVMI, it combined driver.cab and sp3.cab into one driver.cab file.

It is also possible that some obsolete files are being removed by the update pack.
