Update-Package for running system

Post by Fijianer » Tue Jul 27, 2010 11:21 pm

Hello Board,

I am not new to this board, but not often have time to look around.

At the moment I am in need to find a good Update-Pack for a running Win XP SP3 Pro System.

Can I use the pack from user_hidden ?

I used this pack all time when I create a new Win XP CD, but at the moment I am not sure if I can also use this pack for updating a running system.

Would be great to get a little help and also some alternatives if there around (I am more than sure).

For my Germany system I am using a package from German Winlite Board (Sereby) which works great.

Looking forward to get some ideas.

Thanks

Hi,

thanks for your idea, but this is not really what I am looking for.

It must be here also a pack available, which you can use for integration with N-Lite or which can be installed in a running system.

As I said, for my German machine, it is no prob, there is a pack, you can use to update a CD/DVD or you can direct install it into a runnig system and it works fine.

I guess I can find similar here and would appreciate when someone could give me a short hint.

Thanks

Otherwise I have to much work when I have for an update to run a complete new installation and have to create a new CD/DVD

Would be nice to get a short advise/information

Thanks

Fijianer is right: Sereby does make a German updatepack that can be integrated with RVMI and nLite, but also can be installed on a running system.
He explains it in this thread on his forum: http://www.win-lite.de/wbb/index.php?pa ... readID=511
And you can find this (German) pack here: http://www.win-lite.de/wbb/index.php?pa ... eadID=4461
