Can SP3 update be updated

Post by sodapopdima » Sat Feb 12, 2011 1:21 am

Hi, I have been a long time reader and now joined to be a follower. I also use the update pack for post SP3 which really helps as I do tech work & now building a PC is so easy as there are just a handful of updates now after a clean install.

So here is my question. For a well running system, currently on SP2, can a modded version of SP3 be run with all the post fixes within the SP3 update itself (not just talking about a formatted HDD with a clean install here). This would be helpful for active known good running PC clients that just need a 1 click update.

Is this possible or does it exist?

I haven't seen anything like that. But you may want to look into AutoPatcher if you'd like to automate updates on running systems.

Be advised that AutoPatcher is close to going out of business. A reading of the postings on their forum shows a lack of support and intensive spamming that is causing major headaches for those trying to keep things running.

Didn't that happen in 2007, about the time Project Dakota disappeared.
