HowTo make an addon for slipstreaming WMP10 PL

Post by wicio » Sat Sep 02, 2006 3:29 pm

Hi all!

I know that there are plenty of progs and ready addons but i wanna make a POLISH instalation for my dad :D

What do i have to do to integrate my WMP10PL with WinXP prof PL ??
I don't mind if it's wmp10 or wmp11b2, i just wanna get rid of wmp9 :D

and one more thing..
couse there's no POLISH update pack i'm forced to use KBs from polish Autopatcher ;/
It contains so many obselete and unneeded KB's :(
which KB's i shouldn't use when i will have wmp10 or wmp11 integrated??

Cheers!

try WinUpdateslist.
This tool will show all KBs you've ever installed.
and in the window below, you will see what files the KB contains. It also lists the version, both of the KB and in you system currently. if you find any KB contains files that are not needed(they have the older version than your system), you can delete this KB.
This will only solve the obselete and unneeded KBs.

Want to get a Addon or Update Pack?
Please get Ryan's Pack, and then study how it is made.

So i have to install clean system, run AutoPatcher, check which KBs are obselete and finally make nLited installation.. :|

Is it so hard to integrate it that i need to STUDY Ryan's files :P ?

I don't think i'll understand it anyway :/

No need of clean sys.
Just use WinUpdateslist is ok.
In fact only two files need to be studied. they are entries.ini & rvmuppck.inf
entries.ini tells nLite or RVM Intergrator how to slipstream these files into your CD
rvmuppck.inf tells XP Installation how to make these update "used" by your system.
