DizzyDen, I`ve done extensive testing for my light update pack to determine exactly what all entries are for and which one`s are actually needed.

You might get a few more tips from my inf ;)

KB911280 fails qfecheck. Everything else looks good!

I think it's because you left out the cat file entry in entries.ini

Just so you know boooggy, I've managed to reproduce the black screen issue with your pack too.

I'm personally holding off for a couple days to make sure that no major regressions appear with the new fixes.

First & most important THANKS for the AWESOME work and all your effort Booggy!!!

I did a clean RVM integrate with a Corp XPSP2 disk and no other tweaks or mods... installs perfect but when I did MSUpdate I had to install the following:

kb892130
kb905474
kb900485

I see you reference removing kb905474 but not sure why...

QFEcheck gave me the following:

KB911280: This hotfix should be reinstalled.

The following files are not valid in the system catalog:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RASMANS.DLL

I ran the KB911280 hotfix seperately and QFEcheck passes...

Thanks

i got the same error too, i think you have old or wrong catalog file of KB911280. Registry entries are correct, and also correct file is copied.
thanx for update
EDIT: I see kb900485 on mu too.

2 boooggy

/Aim
To have zero updates listed on Microsoft Update after a clean install of XP and to install all updates as close to the original installer as possible. /

I understand, what your pack will be installed on computer running XPsp2 (not for integration on CD/DVD distr like Ryan's pack). Please, tell me, how I can run it to update fresh installed Windows.

Thanks.

Thanks boooggy.

I have a problem with slipstreaming. When I slipstream any update packs (not specially yours, but I tried all of them and like yours the most and always use your packs so I am asking to this thread) with nliteos, I am having problems with activeX controls and I can't fix that. I tried with 3 computers, 1 desktop and 2 laptops fresh installed with your pack. If you have time can you please try that...

www.garanti.com or www.garanti.com.tr this is one of the biggest banks in our country. And the most experienced at online operations and transactions. I have been using its online operations for years without a problem. 2 years ago, in order to have more security during login process they made a software which is installed only one time with some activex control during the login phase.

If I use a clean windows sp2 cd and install my system and install all the updates from windows update, I am able to install that activeX script and use online bank (www.garanti.com) but if I slipstream the updates via your (or any) update back and try to install that activeX, it does not. Whatever I change, like IE security to lowest, or manually change every activeX option in the security part of IE, I can't install that activeX.

I talked with the bank and they couldn't also find a solution.

This is the english site of the bank "http://www.garantibank.com/index.html" upper right part there is online banking, and when press that a new window opens, there will be a red part which says you to install the shield...

Thanks for the good job.

Your first question is answered in the other thread, mamoigle.
mamoigle wrote:Is Boooggy's pack included in Ryan's?
Basically, yes. All packs are developed independently of each other, but their goals overlap. You seem to have the general idea.
