nonno,

Thanks for the .inf fix, it works. You are smart. XP 8)
In the next update will you be able to include KB2468871?
because this one just took a whole hour to install by itself on a P4 laptop.
So many .net updates from Microsoft lately!!

and already included in Microsoft.NET Framework v4.0.30319.235, Update Pack v4.9.0 uses new Microsoft.NET Framework v4.0.30319.237 (add KB2487367, KB2539636, KB2533523)

Ciao.

Thanks for all your work for us xp users.
using the same source I have no problems with pack 480 nor User hidden's latest pack....no problem.
however, pack 490 has a bug... after testing in Virtual box I can't create Quick launch bar in the task bar. I tested downloads from 4 of the sites you provided: 1) checksums all correct. 2) tested all packs on the same clean source.

Once again, thanks for your work,

Thanks for the fix for 4.8.0, ran into the problem this morning.

Also, current pack is from the future? 12/08/12? :)

I too have no quick launch toolbar having made a disk using this latest pack. "Cannot create toolbar" message when u try to turn it on. However some other stuff is missing so something I guess went wrong. One addon I had not used before was Nero Kwik Media (which I see they Nero already updated), it is also not working either

quite funny here, I can create all I want including the Quick launch bar in the Toolbar. I have the current pack 490 running as I type.

So I started again and all went well :D

... but with stuff I left out for testing. Exact same method used BUT I left out :

1) Kel's CPL Mega Pack v12.2
2) Elite's Nero Kwik Media 10.6.12.200 (which Nero then updated 5 seconds later)
£) all driver packs.

From the fact all the drivers installed fine the first time but stuff was missing from start menu and the control panel.... is this likely one of the addons broke it OR driver packs?

I'm sure you are not using a clean MS sp3 CD or something is wrong at you end.
I have the same packs here "Kel's CPL Mega Pack v12.2" and Sata drivers integrated... and I have no problems at all.. All is fine .
Can you check your method of slipstreaming /integration?
try to check without this pack:-"Elite's Nero Kwik Media 10.6.12.200 (which Nero then updated 5 seconds later) "

i run RVM_Integrator_1.6.1b2.1.exe
then Integrate OnePiece_Windows_XP_Post-SP3_UpdatePack_v5.0.0_ENU.7z
and success.
then launch nlite to do this tasks :Remove Components,Unattended Setup,Tweaks,Options
this way correct?
also can add addon(true addon and svcpack) in the time of launch nlite ?
when i must run xptsp to patch system file?

yes, it is correct. it's better to run Nlite only after all integrations with RVMi. Also don't run multiple Nlite session on same source. About addons, you can add them in RVMi session. I newer use xptsp but as it patches system files I suppose it must be the very last thing you do because system files are updated by updatepack

I'm new to this forum and would appreciate some advice. My mom's computer needs to be restored to the factory settings, including all of the original programs. There is no separate disc for Windows XP, just a package deal of all or nothing.

1) Will the onepiece files work for Home Premium or only Pro?

2) How would I use the files to install the updates (I have everything through SP3 on a disk to supplement the old factory restore disk) without creating a slipstreamed CD? She has dialup internet, and so downloading the updates after the reinstall is not an option. It would probably take a week, if she could even stay connected long enough. I need to be able to download and put everything on a CD in usable form at my house beforehand.

Thanks for any input.

If you're trying to update everything back to "as purchased" condition, then bring windows up to date, the procedure that jumps to my mind would be:

1) Back up all necessary user data, pictures, emails, bookmarks, ISP settings, etc. Backing up EVERYTHING, if you have the means and space for it would be an even safer thing to do.
2) Use the restore disk to bring everything back to original condition, formatting the disk first if that is an available option.
3) Remove any junk that was installed that she never used.
4) Run CCleaner to clean things up a bit.
5) Install SP3 then either use autopatcher or this - http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8482 (assuming x86) - to bring XP up to date.
6) Update all the other installed programs. You could then check online with windows update just to make sure no updates were missed. It should find nothing or very little, but better to be safe.
7) Run CCleaner again and defragment.
8) Make an image of the disk and store it on a USB key, DVD, or whatever. This will be your new restore disk if you need to do this again.
9) Restore the user data.
10) Run CCleaner again and defragment again, make sure everything works, and turn it over to your mom.

You should be able to pull all the required files down ahead of time and store them on a disk/USB to update your mom's PC. This might not be as automated as you wished, but since there is not an easy way to update the restore disk, the update packs from onepiece and user_hidden are only for use on a pure unaltered XP source, this seems more straight forward to me. If you were going to need to do this for multiple machines, or multiple times for your mom's machine, then it might make more sense to create a new restore disk using a pure XP source, the update pack and other files you need including new switchless installers for all the apps on the machine, but I don't think I'd recommend that for your situation. I think it would probably take more time and not be worth the effort, but someone else might have a different idea. If you have a broadband connection and you don't live too far away, I would probably just take the computer to your house to do the update, just in case you forgot something. Remember updated hardware drivers for things like printers etc.

Cheers and Regards

You don't, really. It's not designed for that. What you probably want is http://www.wsusoffline.net/ - you can use it to download all of the XP updates , .net, etc. and create a CD for you with their installer for all of them.

Hi:

Yesterday I was attempting to slipstream OnePiece_Windows_XP_Post-SP3_UpdatePack_v5.0.0_ENU. into my Windows XP Pro SP3 dics and everything seemed to be going fine until I got the following error messages. I guess I should mention that I was also attempting to integrate the onepiece_repair_ie8_cosmetic_problems_addon at the same time. Did that cause the problem?

Image

Image

Image

I then download a fresh copy of One Pieces Post Update pack and then I attempted to install it just by itself, without the onepiece_repair_ie8_cosmetic_problems_addon. Just like before everything seemed to be going peachy and then I got this error message.

Image

I also got a message from nlite about trying to correct the problem so I clicked yes and the integration finished. My question is will this integration be viable or should I just use a fresh installation and start the whole integration process over?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, [/img]

Have you tried using Ryan's Integrator instead of nLite?

It won't matter, bphlpt.

Considering a previous discussion of ours concerning virus detection on MSFN, lapetite66, perhaps it is best for me to quote somebody else. The following solution is known to work when using nLite or RVMi.

maybe a virus scanner running in the background? try to disable any on access antivirus protection and see if that helps.
This works because many on-access AV scanners keep file handles open too long, which interferes when nLite and RVMi try to make many writes to SvcPack.inf in a short period. Just remember to re-enable on-access protection when you're finished with nLite or RVMi.

Hi bphlpt:

Thank you for responding to my post. :)

No, I haven't tried using Ryan's Integrator. I download way back when I first got interested in slip-streaming but it seemed rather confusing to use and that's why I went with Nlite instead. I think that now that I'm a little more familiar with how things work I could probably figure things out but now I'm used to Nlite.

Hi Seraph:

Thanks for responding to my message to.

I was aware of people talking about Anti-Virus issues when using other software but it never occurred to me that could be the problem in this situation. I have slip-streamed a few addon packs (homemade) and didn't get any error messages. I also slip-streamed some drivers too which according to someone either here as ryanvm.net or msfn.org said that you should add driver packs, which by the way the drivers I added were exactly a pack. They were drivers for the for the Compaq computer I'm using right now. Anyway, I added the drivers before adding the CAB files. Hmm, then again I guess there's a BIG difference between CAB files, driver files and the Post SP3 pack files.

I will take your advice and try the integration process with Norton turned off. I will let you know if this helps.

Thanks again. :)

I THINK that you should always add the drivers last, at least that is true when using Driver Packs.

Hi bphlpt:

I was planing to add the drivers last after reading that post I mentioned. Now, that you also suggested that doing adding the drivers last is a good idea I most definitely will do that.

Thanks, :)

X's suggestion

Post by lapetite66 » Mon Oct 03, 2011 11:55 pm

Hey everyone:

I did follow Seraph's suggestion about disabling my Anti-virus(Norton) during the integration process of One Piece's Post SP3 Pack and it did work flawlessly but I just hate disabling my Anti-virus protection for any reason. The whole nlite was working I was having visions of little viruses attacking my computer like evil knights storming a castle. :(

I actually got another suggestion from the MSFN board from a member by the name of -X-. He (or she) suggested that I should shorten the path of the file. The following is how I originally had things set up.
C:\Documents and Settings\T\My Documents\Software\Windows XP Important Files\Slip Stream Updates & Hotfixes\Post SP3 Update Packs & Hotfix Verification Tool(various)2\One Piece Post SP3 Update Pack\OnePiece_Windows_XP_Post-SP3_UpdatePack_v5.0.0_ENU.7z

As you can see it was folders with folders within folders. I normally label my files with specific names so that I won't have a hard time finding what I need at a later date etc. But I guess one of the problems with my integration was that is was such a long path for Nlite to gain access to the file I wanted to integrate.

Anyway, -X- said
Shorten the path. Like C:\OnePiece_Windows_XP_Post-SP3_UpdatePack_v5.0.0_ENU.7z
I did. I made a folder on my desktop called "Slipstream Files" and copied all the files that I would l need into it. I once again attempted to integrate One Piece's Post SP3 and everything integrated perfectly without any errors at all. Since I'm wary about turning off my Anti-virus I will continue to use -X-'s method from here on out...until/unless Seraph's method becomes the only alternative necessary.

Kudos to Seraph, bphlpt and -X- for their suggestions and help, it was very much appreciated :D

Hi, could you try 4.9.0 and let us know if the same problem?
I found 4.9.0 pack perfect, and that holds me back from moving on to 5.0.0.
I tried 5.0.0, but had problems with reading ISO files, rolled back to 4.9.0.

Would like to hear your experiences :)

I have not had any problems here whatsoever, neither during the integration nor after the installation ....

About 5.0.0:

So I don't think there's a problem.

I had no issues with 5.0.0 integration and installation.
But for some reason I started getting "Cyclic redundancy check" errors while reading or copying my own data DVDs.
Rolled back to 4.9.0 - and this issue went away. :-o

Hence I decided to wait for 5.1.0 for now... :-)

Hi armix7 and cosy:

I haven't tried 4.9.0 but my problems weren't because there was something wrong with the pack, it was my folder within a folder situation. I had folders within folder. Let me clarify I like to be very detailed about what's what and so I had my folders set up something like this;

C:\Documents and Settings\****\My Documents\Software

then

C:\Documents and Settings\****\My Documents\Software\Windows XP Important Files

Then

C:\Documents and Settings\****\My Documents\Software\Windows XP Important Files\Slip Stream Updates & Hotfixes

Then

C:\Documents and Settings\****\My Documents\Software\Windows XP Important Files\Slip Stream Updates & Hotfixes\Post SP3 Update Packs & Hotfix Verification Tool(various)2

Then

C:\Documents and Settings\****\My Documents\Software\Windows XP Important Files\Slip Stream Updates & Hotfixes\Post SP3 Update Packs & Hotfix Verification Tool(various)2\One Piece Post SP3 Update Pack

As you can see I had folders within folders, within folders. While this makes it easier for me to know what's what and to find things a LOT easier it also caused me problems when it came to integration. I don't why that is exactly but maybe it has something to do with Nlite having to go through something similiar to a labyrinth to find the files it's supposed to be integrating.

When I moved those "said" files to a newly created folder on my desktop called "Slipstream Files", the integration process worked flawlessly without any problems whatsoever which made me VERY happy as I don't like turning off my Anti-virus.

So, maybe you're situation could be remedied by trying something similiar.

No, there's no problems but as I said I liked the other way better and will stick with that format from here on out. :)

KB2572078 will install then tell me it needs to be installed over and over again. It is a new .NET 4 update that came out yesterday.
This was a fresh install just today from my 4.90 DVD I made on 2011-08-12. Prior to this the DVD has had no problems.
Is this caused by 4.90 and is there a registry patch that can fix this?
Is 5.0 effected as well?

Thanks for your hard work, I will donate again.

Mike

I am also having the same problem, but I've seen online that folks with Windows 7 are having the same problem with that update, so it may have nothing to do with this at all.

Nonno,

My host suspended my account and sent me the following email today:
Hello,

We have noticed that you are hosting pirated application files which is against our Terms of Service, on below mentioned folder:

'onepiece'

Hence, we have suspended your account. FTP is enabled, so that you can delete the offended files via FTP.

Please reply to this email with the requested information, so that we can assist you further.

Sincerely,
Denise
I just sent the following reply:
Denise,

This is not pirated software. The contents of that folder are update packs and tools for slipstreaming Windows. You will not find copyrighted or licensed software in there. This work is a product of an active community that can be found here: http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6438

There is also plenty of other information available regarding slipstreaming on the internet.

Let me know if there are further questions or concerns.

Thanks,
Steve
I'll let you know what happens.

@Nonno and Onepiece

that is what one calls "Big Brother"..when one doesn't have the sense to read or censor exactly what one hosts ,,
It is a shame, I had just visited the site and seen "OnePiece_Windows_XP_Post-SP3_UpdatePack_v5.1.0_ENU" which I downloaded. If you want I can help you to upload this on various sites since I have a very fast internet connection( such an upload takes me 1-2 min only).
A nice weekend

@voidseesaw
Thanks for everything you have done, and you do still, to this community

@cosy
and everything ok, you are free to upload wherever you want, if that helps the community, only point users to always check Hash MD5 with the one posted in the first post of the topic

@all
guys sorry for my English, I will write a little so I'll try and I hope you can understand what I mean

guys for some time, I noticed that many Web sites delete the links of my addons, why call them as warez or pirates ect ect, In my opinion not a coincidence (someone who tried everything, and now they left and, just doing this, I do not mean "For Now" write names or nicknames, but many of you already know past events stories), with evil intent, sends them e-mail or otherwise to certain websites to pressure them to remove certain files ect ect, I say this is based on certain facts, not the Update Pack under indictment, but they are DotNet True AddOn, but the point is that if certain servers Wanted OnePiece + Dotnet, how come you only remove dotnet35 & dotnet40 and not the DotNet 1.1 True AddOn, simply because it is an addon least that someone not reported, this makes it clear that certain addon will remove certain websites on the request / reports from users

at this point, I decided to challenge him, so all those addon as he calls them warez or pirates are uploaded in skydriver (made in microsoft) https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=c5215ade ... AFE6%21927 , in this case go to microsoft to say they are warez or pirates, If Microsoft calls them those addon warez or pirate, Microsoft in skydriver without anyone's permission the right to remove those files (and their server, and the license skydriver clearly says so), so if Microsoft calls them warez or pirates just remove them, so we do not make them more, thought so too because i do not want that RyanVM or other Admin be involved in these stories, in poor words Microsoft will not say ryanvm.net have published an addon or other warez or pirated which is right in their servers, so if Microsoft does not like something, remove them from SkyDrive so we do not publish in ryanvm.net or other

about DotNet True AddOn, are not legal ehhhh, no one the right to extract and make a true add-on software, no one, but are Not Warez or Pirate, this is a long discussion, but very clear and our purpose, not and editing software, not ever happened, we just write in the inf mod, so to be an installed windows, without ever changing the structure or default settings of a software

However as said the files are already on SkyDrive now, so what they're called warez or pirate, go to report to microsoft, if Microsoft removes them from there, then they will be immediately removed from ryavnm.net o other, so do not even communities will stay a victim of my addon ect ect, you guys know much about it myself, no one ever seen an update pack ot true addon in a warez websites, or in pirate torent

All this is done only for bad intentions, too bad for them that have no shame to do certain things

Ciao a tutti.
