BUG found.
If i make a Batch (.bat or .cmd) file and have "ECHO." commands in it and put this file in "START -> All Programs -> Startup" and the click on it.
Then i get behind all "ECHO." Commands this error "ECHO. is not a recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."
But if i open the folder "Startup" and then click on the Batch (.bat or .cmd) file then i worked without errors.
Example Batch (.bat or .cmd) file:
EDIT:
I don't now what happened but it works now without the "ECHO." error, after i made a now CD. But i have used the same settings and addons strange.
But i keep my eye on it.

please, could you remember me what "the OPWXPUP.inf bug" is?
If you refer to add/remove programs entry, it isn't a bug. Every Onepiece's Addon/UpdatePack appear in Add/Remove Programs. Anyhow UpdatePack is not unistallable.

Don't ask for a different configuration of Onepiece's XP AIO Update Pack: use one of the existing vanilla XP UpdatePack with your preferred addons instead

I shouldn't call it a bug. IMHO a bug is something unwanted: it's an Onepiece's personal choice instead listing update packs and addons in Add/remove Progs but if most of you doesn't like it, I guess he can easily remove it as default.

Confirmed Outbreaker's fix.mr_smartepants wrote:I can confirm the OPMWXPUP.inf bug exists. Checking fix now...
@ nonno fabio
If the update pack isn't meant to be uninstalled, then isn't the fact that it's listed in Add/Remove Windows components a bug? Also, the fix is correcting more/less a typo in the .inf. A simple fix that's effective and works.
welllll....if it's a bug, then M$ follows the same philosophy...to wit:
If you perform an SP3 update on an installed system initiated via command line and use the "/nobackup" switch...then, the SP3 "update" will appear in the "Add or Remove Programs" list...but, just like OnePiece's - it will not be uninstallable....
So, i guess one could say that OnePiece is in "good" (...
...) company in his current approach...

Don't waste so much posts for this: you don't like it, so it will be removed in next release.

No, I didn't refer to you personally, XIII, don't worry. Look wherever you want
Simply don't write a lot of stuff about this feature because Onepiece says he will remove it as you (all) consider it annoying.

Just wanna say how much I appreciate your work on this package! Slipstreamed this today to the SP3 ISO, added other package from this forum of all .NET Frameworks in 1 package, and made a fresh install. Everything was great, I especially like your addition of WMP11/IE7(with security updates) and DirectX. Microsoft Update showed 0 critical updates and 2 recommended ones (messenger and windows search, which I'm glad are not included and i set the update page to hide them in the future).
Keep up the good work!

The way to get 7zip to work is to highlight all of the rar files and then right click on the group and extractPasha_ZZZ wrote:Try WinRAR. It unpacks RAR and 7Z archivesDavid McMahon wrote:Still getting CRC error checks using 7zip, should i even use 7z?

Extracting any singular file will not work if it is associated with other files. Kindofa bug
Whether you think you can or you can't, you are always right.
You only need to extract the first rar with 7zip.rsadix wrote: The way to get 7zip to work is to highlight all of the rar files and then right click on the group and extract![]()

No need to group highlight. No bug.
His download is obviously corrupt.

It's probably not supported, but I'd figured I'd report this anyway.
Used nlite to slipstream SP3 into XPMCE, then used this pack along with NR_UPHC_Addon.cab
DotNetFx_All_In_1_Addon_v2.2.7z
Ricks_WindowsSearch4.0enRVMiAddOn.7z
Once I took care of the SP3 bug where MEDCTROC.IN_ gets replaced with an older version the disc actually installed fine. All updates install Ok except for Update Rollup 2 for XPMCE. When I tried running the update manually, it failed on the first hotfix (KB891593)
I suspect it's an issue of something already being integrated that it's trying to update and failing weirdly on. Found this link http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/ ... 84381.aspx talking about the rollup failing on that exact update, but haven't had a chance to test it yet as I had to get the machine back to someone.

Yes, it's true: this is due to the command line introduced to fix the MTP mp3 device issue which a few users reported.wire wrote:Is anyone else seeing an error when logging in as a restricted user like this.
Setting up personalized settings for:
Microsoft Windows Media player
Error:
Installation failed.
I guess its related to the media player fix/problems
It's annoying but it gives no consequences and you can ignore it.
Anyway Onepiece will work to avoid that misleading message at the earliest opportunity

Hey, first thank you for producing this excellent update pack.
Unfortunatelly, I got this error message during RVM integration: WARNING: Filename Exceeds 8.3 Format
Any solution to avoid this message? Thanks!

I just solved this by running the Windows Installer Cleanup utility.
After I removed the Silverlight 1.0 entry, I could install 2.0 just fine.

Silverlight 1 must be uninstalled before installing Silverlight 2, using Control Panel way or if this doesn't work, WICU

ETA on 1.6.1
I know you guys do this as a public service, and your work is GREATLY appreciated. So don't take this wrong when I ask when the latest Patch Tuesday updates will be added to the Post SP3 AIO pack! I simply ask because I have an install to do and OnePiece's pack meets my needs better than RyanVM's. But will use the latter if need be.
Again, huge thanks for your work!!!

You're welcome!
Next XP AIO pack is already done and it will be out as soon as possible (I think on next Monday, at most): there's some problematic hotfix and this caused to spent a little more time.
It will include Silverlight 2 with less uninstallation annoyances.
