just 1 question:

I created iso with nlite xp sp3 msdn-(orginal untouched and i only removed browser choice update + i added up2date ie8 and i didnt touch anything else)

That file is not in the update pack. From what I've been able to find online, it is installed by Microsoft Office.

ok it is not problem to disable DWTRIG20.Exe to startup

i never use MS office or integrate it into xp iso.,do i need to remove some component's in nlite to remove this unneeded component.,i was just wondering but it is not much of problem xD?

im very suspicious about this component.. it may be some MS backdoor component-(or something like their trojan-spy Alexa component) to spy on user's who knows??? Or might be harmless? XD no realy DWTRIG20.Exe and many more strange and suspicious files are in C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\MICROS~1\DW\

more components require that.
If you are using u_h's .NET, it is installed.

It's actually this entry:

HKLM,"%ACTIVEXCOMP%\{183C259A-0480-11D1-87EA-00C04FC29D46}","Compatibility Flags",0x10001,0x04000400

this is overwritten at T-13 to default 0x00000400.

I was hoping someone could point me in the right directions here...

I create slipstream discs with this update pack and the following addons:

Onpiece IE8, .NET 1.1, 3.5, 4.0, Silverlight, WMP11

Everything works great on XP HOME, PRO and MCE with one exception....Autoplay doesn't work.

It doesn't matter if I use a CD, DVD, or USB drive, windows will not pop up a window for it. I've tried the autoplay repair tool but no luck there.

If I go to my computer and right click on the drive I can launch the autoplay functions from there however.

Any help is appreciated!

This Autoplay Repair Wizard?

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/d ... 389CFACDAD

Like OnePiece said it is disabled, but you should get a popup dialog asking what you want to do

Check and make sure you have these registry entries, they could have been deleted

Code: Select all

; KB971029
HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers","IsAutorunForCDROMOnly",0x10001,1
; KB950582
HKLM,"Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer","HonorAutoRunSetting",0x10001,1

both are in the update pack however the entries for KB950582 are in the KB955704 entries for extFat feature.

New hotfix KB2419632 replaces both KB955843-v4 and KB983246.

The previous file odbc32.dll (3.525.3007.0) belongs to the hotfix KB955843-v4.

I just downloaded this from mediafire today, created a disk from it, and I'm still getting KB2416400 as missing on MU. I read above you had an issue with it about a month or two ago. I also made sure to disable my AV since that appparently created issues for people on the one pack...

If it matters, I used the newest nlite to integrate (in this order):

Addon_DirectX32_9.0c_Runtimes_201006.7z
YumeYao_WMP11_Addon_ENU_V3_4_4.7z
YumeYao_IE8_Addon_Clean_ENU_1_4_3.7z
DotNetFXAIO_40C_20101025_Addon_ENU.cab
Kels_Runtimes_addon_v7.2.rar
XPSP3_QFE_UpdatePack_1.4.7_20110111.7z

Other than the above mentioned KB, I'm only missing:

Windows PowerShell 2.0(KB968930)
Windows Search 4.0 (KB940157)
Microsoft Silverlight (KB2416427)
Windows Live Essentials (KBshittystuff)

I could care less about these (except i'm planning on integrating silverlight...probably this one), and the system seems to be stable as hell, so I just wanted to make sure that your fix for KB2416400 didn't get lost or something :(

Also, despite the post count, I've been lurking these forums forever and making loads of nlite disks :)

Is there anybody still using the "Microsoft Update Disabler" Addon of MrNxDmx with UH update-Pack?
Or is this functionality already built in to UH- update pack?

This addon used to be compatible with original Update-packs from Ryan till v2.2. But Not sure it is applicable or even needed with UH-Pack!

Can the experts here comment.

that is an IE update.
the pack contains IE6 and it's proper update, you integrated IE8 ontop of it.
the MU nag you are getting is for the IE8 version.
check the yumeyao IE8 addon you use that it contains the update.
it is also possible during integration a reg key is not being written becuse of some integartion failure.

"Microsoft Update Disabler" Addon of MrNxDmx, to disable Microsoft update (Not windows update)

It seems to overwrite DataStor.edb file with an empty one.
As per my understanding, it aims to remove MU shortcut from startmenu, & also prevents going to MU automatically when you open http:://windowsupdate.com.

This addon used to be compatible with original Update-packs from Ryan till v2.2. Just wanted to know if it is applicable or even needed with UH-Pack?

Both packs say that they have the update. It was the order that the packs were integrated in nlite that was causing some issue.

I decided to install the IE8 update after this update pack, and the problem is gone. The new order I used (with silverlight added) was:

Addon_DirectX32_9.0c_Runtimes_201006.7z
YumeYao_WMP11_Addon_ENU_V3_4_4.7z
DotNetFXAIO_40C_20101025_Addon_ENU.cab
Kels_Runtimes_addon_v7.2.rar
XPSP3_QFE_UpdatePack_1.4.7_20110111.7z
YumeYao_IE8_Addon_Clean_ENU_1_4_3.7z
Addon_Microsoft_Silverlight_4.0.51204.0.7z

It was the order that the packs were integrated in nlite that was causing some issue.
Even though your problem may be solved, you should definitely integrate the updatepack first of all.
This will integrate the latest files for Win XP SP3 with IE6 and WMP9.
Those will be overwritten by newer versions of the same files used by addons for IE8 and/or WMP11.
Inversely in another order you may get the newer files overwritten by older versions.

right, which is why changing the order so that the update pack installed first fixed the problem. I'll install the runtime packs, then this post-sp3 pack, then any other updates.

Thanks again for all your help :) Now I've gotta go tackle other problems in the IE8 addon thread :)

it will not work with my update pack.
the "Entries_MU_Disabler.ini" data would have to be updated.

Apparently I'm not cleared of problems yet....

When I went to visit a Chinese language page, it prompted me to download a language pack. I never got rid of any of these in nlite, so I'm guessing that they're not included in this update pack, or is something else wrong?

whenever asks you for permission to install any foreign language pack, it always provides you with an option ...something like:

"never install any language pack" that you only have to tick it with a single click.

Now, for greater compatibility (regarding user choice) and also to prevent web page layout corruption (navigating through that foreign domains) better leave that option an option... the user's choice, I mean to be able to receive that message and to decide for himself whether to allow, forbid temporary or permanently foreign language installation :P don't think you should inhibit that from appearing, as a presetting

however you can use "InstallWatchPro25" left open before ticking that, identify and isolate the registry that switches that...then pass it through reg2cmd tool and make a standalone private addon

Well I for one wouldn't want such functionality included in userhidden's pack - I'm very pleased to see it doesn't appear to be. Fine if you want to add it in as an extra, but most of us actually want the microsoft update page to work.
