problem with integrating updatepacks into RIS

Post by plissje » Tue Nov 17, 2009 7:44 am

Hi all,
I read a couple of posts and everything seemed pretty straight forward, but im having the same issue with both user_hidden and red's update packs.

The integration with ryan's integrator finishes without any errors, but when i try to launch the RIS installation i get some "files not found, esc to skip" errors, an even if i press skip on all of them the installation finnaly gets stuck on the internet connection wizard saying ICFGNT.dll module cannot be found.

Steps i've made:
1) delete all the .pnf files in my i386 dir (winXP sp3 oem by Dell)
2) use ryanrvm integrator to integrate the update pack into the ris i386 folder.
3) restart wdsserver service (using wds in legacy mode for winxp)

am i missing anything?, some help would be greatly appriciated as im stuck.

RogueSpear has created a tool to help with RIS.
RogueSpear wrote:If you want to use update packs, and by extension, RVMi, nLite, etc. with RIS, then you are going to need to use AutoImage in order to do it.
You can find AutoImage on his forum.
